As a tiny aside in this matter perhaps Hitler was pissed off by the wts sending him such a letter without a signature as is their way.
It was the wife of one of the Nazis leaders said at the Nuremburg trials that the jw meant nothing in Germany but when Rutherford kept making a nuisance of himself she likened him to "the mosquito in the room" then he ie the jw were dealt with. If Rutherford had kept his big boozie mouth shut (while he was nice and safe in the US) then the jw in Germany by all accounts would have survived or been able to leave to go into Switzerland or some other safe country. But Rutherford knew he was creating a situation of martyrs and he didn't give a fig who copped the bullets..
