I don't believe in an "ALL" GOD anymore. I think both pain and pleasure are our teachers. If there are words in the Bible that are valid prophecies they were placed there by some other species for the purpose of preserving our species. It remains to be seen if individuals are really that important. The personal desire for everlasting life may be a type of egoism. On the other hand prolongation of life is the "telos" of life.
Some advanced form of life may have found the "secret" of life and even resurrection. At this stage, all of these wonderful hopes probably can best be understood as "GOD". We (I include myself) have not grown up yet.
