I have a interesting thought on this subject...
Jehovah knew the astrologers were following the star to Jesus right?? Well then if it was from Saten or the demons, then why didn't Jehovah have Joseph and Mary leave long before he did. Why did he wait to have them leave until the astrologers had already seen Jesus and could confirm this back to Herod??
Perhaps..... Jehovah used this "star" to guide them there for a reason. Joseph and Mary had very little money if any. They would need money in order to live in Egypt for a extended time right?? Well the gifts these 3 astrologers brought were expensive, not to mention the gold that they brought. Could it be that Jehovah used them to bring these valuables to them. Because it was only after they arrived with these gifts that Jehovah told them to not go back to Herod.
Also... if the 3 astrologers were being used by Saten then why would they listen to Jehovah?? It would seem that they would have at least attempted to return to Herod. But instead, they listened to Jehovah and fled the other way. We know Jehovah has used ones he doesn't necessarily approve of to accomplish his purposes. Like for example, Babylon over taking Jerusalem. Then Cyrus over taking Babylon. So it is prossible that he would use astrologers, even though he didn't approve of their practices.
These are just points I gleaned in doing research on this subject around Christmas time.
