A trustworthy source has given me the opportunity to share some information about Rolf Furuli. A well known apologist og and greatly respected elder in Norway and a schoolar at The University of Oslo.
He does not compleatly agree with the FDS in all cases I guess, and lately he has spoken up in his local congo about 3 subjects.
# 1. Education. Furuli says: Do take education!
# 2. Governing Body. Furuli says: GB is not spirit directed.(GB dont claim to be, but a lot of JW belive they are and enligthening the dubs are controversial.)
# 3. Service. (Society says, do take part in all kinds of service like door to door, street work and bla bla.) Furuli says: You don't have do do everything. Do the kind of service that makes you comfortable.
Probably because he thinks for himself, he is a pain in the neck to the Society. And, this is interesting, my source tells me that the CO visiting Furulis congo once (CO Walter Larsen (a big jerk by the way) tried (may be as far back as in -97/-98) to kick Furuli out as an elder. But when all the elders where gathered during the CO-visit and the CO told the compleat board of elders that Furuli had to go, all the elders said: "I Furuli has to go I will go too" one after the other. So the CO had the choice. Furluli as elder or no elders in the congo at all.
So this is why he still is an elder. He has an enormous strong position among his fellow elders and the R&F in his own congregation.
