Why doesn't Jehovah just destroy Satan and the demons then leave humanity alone?
by yadda yadda 2 indid you ever wonder that as a jw?.
if all the trouble on this planet is down to satan and the demons, why not just get rid of them and then leave humankind alone and see how we go from there?
wouldn't a god who "is love" (1 john 4:8) full of mercy and justice at least try that first?

D D. Wasn't the original sin supposed to be Adams, hence the need for ransom ie Jesus if the original sin goes back to the creator did he come to earth to forgive himself.I'm beginning to feel sorry for Satan/ snake and Adam/ eve. I haven't established if you are a. Theist or not although you make it clear you are anti J.W.

D.D you seem to be saying the perfect angels rebellion was as a result of his ' naughty thoughts ' , before mans creation ? This is getting whackier and whackier Can I ask you yes or no do you really believe that??. And there's still the question of where was this perfect angel / being getting his naughty thoughts fromm remember no choice without a selection. !!

DD..I am folowing this thread by way of context argument as I am essentially athiest. Is your comment not contradictory? On one hand you say evil came into existence at satans rebellion , but on the other you say evil may have existed before humanity , According to genesis the humans were created and then they were tempted . So satans evil thoughts must have developed after human creation .So where would he be able to formulate his evil thoughts from , if he had a choice? Where would he as a perfect angel get his choice from? There is no choice without a selection who provided the evil part. There can only be one answer his creator .

Is it possible for believers to ask for something in prayer that doesn't......
by punkofnice in....involve someone else being controlledor affected by your chosen god?.
if someone else is controlled or affected, doesn't this mean that freewill is out the window?.
surely god either does or doesn't answer prayers?.

D, D you mention the perfect angel who became satan (supposedly) as having his first evil thought how could this entities thought be construed as evil until after the consequences of his thoughts or actions became apparent? Would this perfect created by god being, know what evil was , is evil not a human description of what we determine to be detestable. Otherwise evil would have to originate from the creator. Following on from that suggests evil existed before any human creation. Is therè something gods not telling us, perhaps we didn't stand a chance from the outset?. Jùst a thought!

Talking with a nonbeliever...
by suavojr inin my search for the truth and the burning desire to become free from all forms of dogma and wishful thinking.
i have approached my first crossroads in my life, should i continue to believe in a god or not?.
currently i am leaning toward agnosticism, but all the suffering in the world, all the loss and pain in my own life makes it hard for me to simply let go of the idea and hope that at the end justice will prevail, that one day god can make it all good.. .

Seraph its counter productive to force a discussion into the realms beyond our cognitive understanding ie the limits of our physical brain . Yes it is frustrating but a small engine no matter how much it revves its little head off will never be a Ferrari. And of course science can only study/ question that which exists but it can create( bring into being)things which would not have existed E.g cloned animals , which really flies in the face of god I.M.O So bravo science it is the future of mankind if used to our advantage .God will increasingly become a silly irrelevance.

There is of course the 'existance' of the thought processes of the human mind, so technically it could be said that these concepts (god, satan, demons.) Do'exist' in people's minds .Where of course all sorts of non...sense can be dreamed up !! iTS ALL IN THE MIND AND NOWHERE ELSE!! In my humble opinion of course.

Would any loving parent ignore the plea's of their child who was truly in need and reliant on your answer/attention? The derivatives of to pray, are to make a plea , plead , entreat. What would ANYONE think of a parent who would ignore such a child in need of your answer?I think the child would very quickly lose' faith in that parent if they were ignored continuously. It always amazes me that people can still have faith In 'god' when their continued plea's are not answered. Oh well it takes all sorts to make a world I suppose.
