  more changes in us and canada operations.. new "arrangements" in jw.org to get more benefits and less costs.

  logistics in canada and the united states will be managed by a new arrangement.. confidential: a famous supermarket and logistics company will take care of sending literature, keep an eye not getting your wt supplies together with a butter cream pot.. read well: wal **** logistics .... more layoffs.... headquarters in canada of this famous company only at 37 km away from watchtower canada..

  The words to the songs, are done at the DC/RC's! They haven't done that at the KH's yet, maybe for a new song. That would drive the sound guy nuts!

  Who knows what crazy things they'll do next!

  At a regional convention today....

  it really stands out to me just how phoney the bonds of forced brotherhood are.

  the smiles are paper thin when they see each other in hotels.

  the laughs forced.

  Hey nobodyspecial, it has bugged me for years, the claim, they have no clergy class. I was an ms for years, and turned down the elder appointment twice, I hated the political crap, I had seen so much of, sometimes having to be careful witch elders you were friends with, or listen to. It was, and is a special privilege class!

  At the RC a month or so age, the place it was held, is old and full of some pretty steep ramps, instead of steps. A dear old sister, really hurt her knee, and can't hardly walk, and one elder, has been by to check on her!

  I remember by the end of the four day DC's, that even had evening program's, how sore your face would be from the non stop smile pasted to your face, and sore hands from hours of clapping over the dumbest things! And CA's that started on Friday, and ended Sunday night, and if Knorr or Franz, showed up, they would have the closing part, and talk way past the half hour or so listed. I remember Knott showing up one Sunday night, and he finally shut up a bit after 11 pm.

  The almost two hour lunch breaks were about the only fun to be had!

  Back in my early years, most congregation were almost family and friendships were real, we all thought 75 was coming, and the bunker mentality drew everyone together! After 75, with so many new ones having come in because of 75, the closeness really started coming apart, by the early 80's, it was mostly gone. And as the legalistic branch started taking over the Borg, the real closeness is all but gone. Everyone in a congregation used to know where everyone else lived, and seldom did you need or ask for an invite to pop in for a visit, if you were in the area!

  Expanding number of DC/RC's

  according to my elder in law, by next year the number of dc/rc's will increase by 143. the size of conventions will get smaller.

  the elder in law says the goal is to make them all have around 2,000 or so at each.

  they are going to make more manuals detailing each job and it's responsibilities.

  blondie, believe it or not, they have started pushing bodies of eldubs to start training more younger ones to try and become ms's and eldub's, in the last couple of years, and co's are pressing the issue. In years past, many times the old el-fart's in charge saw younger ones as a threat to their power, and would seldom bestow anything on anyone, unless it just became a have to. I have been in many cong's, and have see it both ways, but by far, the seldom appointing newer ones was the most often thing done!!!!!!

  According to my elder in law, by next year the number of DC/RC's will increase by 143. The size of conventions will get smaller. The elder in law says the goal is to make them all have around 2,000 or so at each. They are going to make more manuals detailing each job and it's responsibilities. Already this year many of the RC's had almost all new top dogs running the show. My elder in law says that they want to make it easy to change people in any position, without even having had training! At the one I had to go to, already had almost all new and younger brothers, in every major role in almost every department!

  I was very saddened when I tried to log on this morning! Due to health problems, I haven't been around much at all! I do hope more find their way here!

  I would like to give a big Thank You, to everyone that made JWR happen!

  I also want to give a bug Thank You, out to all the wonderful friends, I made there! And to so many willing to reach out with open harts and arms, to so many, crushed ones!

  My brother died last night

  i found out this morning that my brother died last night, he was also an ex jw, 73 years old and died of heart disease and kidney failure.

  it was not totally unexpected, as he had been in poor health, but it's a blow, especially as i just lost another brother two years ago.

  there were six of us, now only four.

  Kingdom Hall Built on Site of Former Slave Market

  in mississippi, there is a historical site called forks of the road.

  before the civil war, it was one of the most active slave trading markets in the south.

  it was a triangular piece of land formed by ... you guessed it ... a fork in the road.

  I have been to Natchez Mississippi, many times back when I lived in Mississippi. When I stopped and read the signs, a deep sadness just ran though me. The things man has done to his follow man, is just unbelievable!!!!

  The cong I was in last year, was down for the 4th straight year in a row! Four years ago it was 221, this year it was 176, that's a pretty good drop over a four year time span! They didn't even need the extra chairs that they rented!! It could be due to the really sad cheap plastic chairs they normally rent!!!!

  so i guess baptism is no longer the "mark for survival".. as a matter of fact, that key aspect of the 'old light' is not even acknowledged in this article.. they are just publishing new understanding without even bothering to explain the full extent of the change, hoping nobody will remember how it was... and they may be right about that..

  During my lifetime, baptism was never the mark for survival! That was jyst a sign that was supposed to show your giving your life to god, to do his will. Baptism is just a sign that you claim something. The other sign, is proof that god says, you really, do his will and get his promised reward!

  That sign was always a part of the man with the ink horn! And isn't a type antitype thing!
