I think Rutherfraud wrote Millions Now Living Will Never Die around 1918/19, and that is when he started of on his weird ideas of the Faithful Men of Old being brought back to California. Why on Earth would God resurrect them back to the US instead of their homeland?

Can a divorcee remarry scripturally?

i have been visiting this board for the last six months and it has opened my eyes!.

i feel like i was tricked into this religion - since 1975.

i would like to say thanks to all who post on this forum.

The Society still do not allow a Divorce except on the grounds of Pornei, which is interpreted by them as ANY SEXUAL ACT with ANY other person of either sex.

So oral sex, homosexualality, bestiality or any other sexual act is grounds for a Divorce. I know this is the case, as I was an Elder for many years, and had to learn all of this stuff at Elders Schools.

They were more interested in Legalities than the Grace of God.

I know a Guy who married and they were both JWs, after a few weeks she left him and moved back home. He could not get a Divorce and stayed with the Cult because he was too proud to let her have her own way.

Thankfully after we left, we managed to get him to see he was wasting his life, and eventually he left the cult and is now at Univesity studying Medicince.

He is also going ahead with a Divorce and now has a Bulgarian Girlfriend.

There is nothing like an Ostrich who sticks his head in the sand when the game is up. Scholar (what a joke) Scholar of what? All he does is parrots WT false calculatations, pretty much like a GUY polishing the brass plaque on the Titanic.

He makes stupid statements such as 1914 was the most significant year in world events. The most important dates in world events, were the birth of Jesus Christ and his death and resurrection in 33AD, something the WT hardly ever talks about.

The WT are far more interested in dates than Jesus BIRTH, DEATH & RESURRECTION. They NEVER talk about the Grace of God, or the precious BLOOD of Jesus. Its all THE KINGDOM, or NEW WORLD ORDER (Illuminatii talk) or a new world of a 1000 years, very similar to Hitlers boast.

How on earth can the WT PROVE that the Heavens were cleansed on Satan & His Demons in 1914?

They obviously CANNOT prove it Biblically, because Satan had control of the Earth from mankinds fall. Once Adam rejected Gods authority, he gave permission to satan to control this Earth. That is why Satan IS the ruler of this world as the Bible tells us.

So nothing the WT state about end times starting in 1914 has any relevance to Gods plan of salvation. Again Jesus said, that if we believe that Jesus is the Christ, we are SPIRIT BEGOTTEN. But the WT totally miss that out, and prefer to keep their subjects in darkness.

I'm new here and have lots of questions

hello, i am new to this board, i am not a jehovahs witness however i studied with them for years, i went out into service a couple of times, but i havent done anything in 4 years.

i am so confused.

i always have been scared of the last days thing, but i could never accept the fact that while i was in the meetings, my husband and parents were all at home and the witnesses would tell me that unless they changed and started coming to the meetings that they would be killed!

As we were with the JWs for 50 years, my wife was always terrified of Armageddon, and never thought she would go through (She had been sexually abused when she was only 8 by her JW brother in law), even though she is one of the most spiritual persons I know, but she had all of the guilt and trauma in her brain. She also has those kind of powers you were talking about, and when we left the JWs she had a few Mediums try to get her involved with their type of work. We were running a Complementary Medicine Clinic until around 18 months ago, so she was treating all sorts of people. We had started to get involved with the New Age type of thing, crystals etc. Then I started listening to tapes by Dr Wayne Dyer, and realised that the JWs had been a ROCK on our backs. My wife described it like 2 concrete blocks one on each shoulder.

What I realised from listening to Wayne and others, was that Jesus Christ was the most important person to ever live on this Earth, So after being out of the WT for around 2 years, we started to meet some Born Again Christians who showed us 'unconditional love' and that is when our life turned around.

We have been BA Christians for just over 3 years now, and we love being in love with Jesus. My wife no longer has ANY fear of END TIMES, which we still believe is near. But as Christians we now know that we are NOT saved by what we do, only by accepting Jesus as our saviour. She now has lots of prayer by our Christian Brothers & Sisters for all of the baggage she had as a JW, and we are also on the prayer team ourselves, and pray for others.

So as you can see we have been through similar situations, and wasted most of our lives in the WT, OR DID WE?

Maybe God will use our experiences to help others?

The fact the WT Society did not even exist way back in Jesus day, seems to have escaped the numbskulls attention.

If anyone left JESUS they left the TRUTH, not Christians who leave a lying Satanic Cult.

And when Paul spoke about NOT EVEN EATING WITH SUCH A MAN, he was talking about NOT partaking of the bread and wine at communion.

They twist EVERYTHING that evil religion.

And Paul was talking about people who practiced SIN not entering anothers house, NOT A PERSON WHO has seen the lies and deceipt of an Organisation that tries to put itself in the place of Jesus as the Mediator between the Other Sheep and the Almighty God.

Yes and CELEBRATED BY WHOM? I don't think any serious scholars take them seriously at all. The problem when we were in the 'deception' we were brainwashed into thinking that those people really were experts.

But when I was on my first 2 week Elders training school way back in 1976, our instructor told us that contrary to 'popular' belief within the organisation, the Governing Body which included Fred Franz in those days, DID NOT CONSULT some kind of ORACLE for Divine Revelation. So where did it all come from? The instructor told us that the Worldwide Brotherhood keep writing in about various understandings, and if enough write in about the same thing, they deem it as being a sign of Jehovah's 'nudging' of the Governing Body into the direction of the magority.

He also said that the COs report back ' weaknesses' in Congregations and then they write an article in the WT about it, and all the members think it is Food at the proper time. Its all a great big sham.

I always had a different feeling about the Society after that. And when Elders or others would say, Oh what a wonderful Watchtower that was, I would think what on earth are they on about?

The WTs were all a load of comlex sounding drivel, that hardly anyone would dare to question it, as it was from the 'elite faithful and discreet slave class'

Nothing was ever from Jesus our King, it was always the F&DS, who was supposed to be appointed by the Master himself. And that is how I know it IS NOT FROM OUR GOD BUT FROM THE god OF THIS WORLD.

Humble and Wise Servants who wisely interpreted 1914, ARE YOU JOKING? Those are the very men who Rutherfraud kicked out of his organisation and were then classed as EVIL SLAVE. In fact if anyone believed the stuff that was writen by those Faithful & Wise Servants today, they would be kicked out of the modern WT Society. Are you aware that there are still groups of faithful people today who still teach Russells stuff? One group are called the DAWN BIBLE STUDENTS and are based in the US somewhere, and I got in touch with them soon after I left the corrupt real EVIL SLAVE, the MODERN WT SOCIETY. I learnt a lot about Rutherfraud from the Dawn Bible Students. He was nothing but a Dictator and there were a lot of those about in those days.

When did Jesus take up his 'invisible' Kingly rulership, was it 1874 like the 'Faithful & Wise Servant' Russell claimed, or was it 1914, 1915 or later 1918?

Jesus Christs KINGSHIP started when he sent the Comforter to his disciples gathered in the Upper Room and filled them with the Holy Spirit. Jesus has been with his people ever since. But you would not know about that, as you refuse to accept Jesus Christ as your Mediator, and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. You are totally bamboozled by a wicked and pharisaical cult.

Why do churches still make me panic ?

i'm really glad i've found this site a week ago.

reading some of the stories and comments on here has really helped.

there are so many out there who's lives have been ruined by the so-called truth.. i was brought up in the truth as an elders daughter, youngest of 5, a brother and sister had been disfellowshiped, other brother had left as a teenager and my other sister is still sitting on the fence aged 40 going on 15, if she'd made a decision instead of sitting on the fence i'm convinced she wouldn't be the alcoholic mess she is today!

Welcome James, Our Church was built in the 1800s by Ukrainian Catholics and one of our Guys was actually baptised in the Church when he was a baby, as his Dad was Ukrainian. He is now a Born Again Christian. The Church is not that big, but holds about 200 people. However when we get bigger we may have to rent a big unit on an industrial park, as thats what a lot of modern Churches do.

We started to realise that something was resonating with us when we went to Rome in 1997 and visited the catacombes under the Church of Saint Sebastian. We noticed the Christian fish carved into the walls of that catacombes and it made us wonder about the fish sign seen on many cars etc.

It took a while for us to get our of the borg, but the Lord was patient and kind with us. We started visiting other Churches after looking around St Peters Church in the Vatican, and gradually I would offer up prayers in a quite area myself. I even lit candles as a way of offering up a prayer.

However we do not see Jesus Christ being worshipped properly in many of those places. Many of the Cathederals have become business enterprises, such as Lincoln and York. In Lincoln they even sell statues of IMPS which are like little Demons.

For many years the WT used the year 1914 as the beginning of the time of the end, as I preached around doors for many years. When my wife and I were Kids we told people they would be THE GENERATION who would see the end of this system, and it was ALL based on the year 1914 as being the beginning of the end times.

We would tell Bible Studies that Satan was caste down to the Earth in that year. But now that we read the Bible through our OWN eyes and not the distorted WT eyes, we can see quite clearly that Satan was already the ruler of the Earth even in Pauls day, and that is why he said the WHOLE WORLD IS LYING IN THE POWER OF THE WICKED ONE. Satan took over rulership of this Earth when Adam sinned and gave permission to Satan take authority over this planet.

That is why other scriptures speak of the ruler of the AIR, and that Satan is the god of this system of things.

However I do not agree that Daniels prophecies were only for his time. He spoke about the Kings to come, which included Greece and Rome.

Many Christians in the 1800 knew about the 2520 years, and it was not Russell or Barbours invention. A Guy called Aquilla Brown first worked out the count of times, and that is what Dr Gratten Guiness based his work on.

The problem with the WT Society is that they claim to have the truth and nothing but the truth, but when they are proven to be wrong, they DO NOT APOLOGISE and blame it on the rank & file for misunderstanding what they meant.

I know all about your WT nonsense, but ALL the prophecies refer to literal Jerusalem. Check the FACTS about 1917, they make far more sense than Russells non existant heavenly rapture in 1914, about all of the other stuff the Society keeps pumping out. NO secular authority will agree with the WT dates of Jerusalems destruction.

1917 fits the prophecy to a T. Check it out if want to be enlightened from the WT deception.

A brilliant web site lists the whole account of 1917 and since. Type in Dr Gratten Guiness, and the site is new covenant ministries.
