"Foursquare" at Dachau
by Quendi ini hope someone can give me a quick answer to this question.
the 1974 yearbook of jehovah's witnesses tells the story of the movement in germany with much detail about experiences witnesses had during the years of the third reich.
one of the stories was about life in the dachau concentration camp when it was under the command of a man nicknamed "foursquare.

Apostate NT Canon
by Pterist inas mentioned in july 15th 2013 watchtower "the apostasy started in the first century and flourished by the fourth century" or words to that effect.. as i was reading ff bruce's "the bible canon" ($14 kindle ver.
on amazon) i was very surprised to read that there are no original nt documents from the first century, just copies of copies of copies of many documents from that period.
apparently the 27 book nt canon was not set until about the fourth century by trinitarian church fathers.

He explained:
- " just copies of copies of copies of copies of copies..." and
- why the scribes changed there copy and
- why every copy was different from the copy before and
- why in all copies are more differences as words in the bible and
- why he tells his students, to read the gospels horizontally and not only vertically and a lot more. -

However, in the interlinear literal translation of the Greek the English words are not taken bodily or directly from the New World Translation and placed under the appropriate Greek word. No! But under each Greek word is placed its basic meaning, according to its grammatical construction, whether this agrees literally with the New World Translation or not. What we as Bible students should want is what the original Greek text says. Only by getting this basic meaning can we determine whether the New World Translation or any other Bible translation is right or not. -

No doubt many endeavor to celebrate the supposed date of Jesus’ birth in a dignified way. Nevertheless, the article gave clear evidence that (1) Jesus never authorized any such celebration, (2) Jesus’ birth must have taken place in September/October (not December), and (3) many of the customs associated with Christmas are clearly of pagan origin. So the issue confronting those desiring to please God in their worship is, not how such a celebration might be carried on, but whether Christmas in any form has God’s approval. -

David Splane in Poland today
by FadeToBlack injust got back from watching jw.stream presentation at our local kh of a 'special' meeting at ursus assembly hall in warsaw.
all the congs in the country were tied in, but some will be watching replay later in the day.
there were 3 parts.

WOW - that is the first offical mention of the new JW business cards (with JW.ORG) for all publishers. So family Splane is still using them already.

Advice, TTATT or Bible
by Crazyguy ini really starting to see the problems with the bible and it being influenced by other cultures, religions and also the fact that many of the books or letter were written after the fact or so called prophecy.
so i am wondering would it work better to try to wake my children to ttatt about the jw cult or work on destroying the bible and its credibility?
which do you think would work better??

As a 3rd generation JW "kid" I was always told NEVER to lie, because satan is the father of the lie and jehovah hates the lie.Then I saw all the lies.
