Senior Steve
how do you now understand the world... and your place in it?.
i personally believe in evolution... and also a "higher power"... it seems more and more people are drifting away from organized religion, but they are then left searching for meaning and purpose..... going to college/university and studying a normal curriculum, one is exposed to philosophy, the socrates and platos of history, who in many ways started widespread discussion on such topics as above.
some sort of philosophy has to be studied i believe, just so one can understand the history of man, from that point in time and how we came to christianity in the first place.. however, it is a very personal matter, as we must all find our own answers.. i believe it is natural for people to be drawn to ponderings of purpose and god, and there are many ways to seek connection to that souce.

nothing, absolutely nothing. After much searching, I realised that humans need a purpose, a reason, something to work for or
towards. I can be just as happy with no reason, no answer, no goal.
Mebbe I'm just simple.

the dictionary defines a friend as a person whom one knows, likes, and trusts.
this definition seems fair enough, but at what point do you really know someone, and how much trust is needed?
i think everyones ideas of what a friend should be like are broad.
thats me!
were you ever marked as bad association by a particular person or family in the congregation?
did you ever find out the reasons for being bad association?
yep.. I was. My uncle came around and gave my dad a good bollocking about me being a bad ass. See, I was 15 mebbe 16, and had a passion for motorcycles.. you know the ones, big honking 100cc dirtbikes. I apparently caused my 13 y/o cousin to stumble. You see, he wanted a 125cc motocrosser.... and it was affecting his..... um. Anyhow* I went straight around to this "elders" house and told him in no uncertain terms... riding is in your blood, if he wants to ride, it ain't my fault. I rode with 3 people, all 3 of em are elders now (poor buggers) and the cousin that I was the bad affluence too? He's a MS now and owns 5 houses and will be retired by 40. He went on to own a 1972 XA GT falcon, a 1973 XB GT Falcon, a few HSV Commodores and numerous high performance jap bikes. Seems as much as my 100cc bike ridig days influenced him, he still grew up ok, bit of a real estate tycoom, great business man, and all round good guy.
Oh, it was all my fault...
I still ride
1966 Ducati 250 Monza
1977 Honda TL250
1997 Ducati 600SS
2000 honda XR100 (for the kids)
ride safe

I haven't as yet seen the moofie......... But I've seen shitloads of background info about it.. It is a powerful story about the Aus gumbmint policy
of taking black kids from their fambilies and "placing" them with white families.......a policy that didn't work.
We are still trying to sort it out. and as soon as the Aus gumbermint gets it head out of it's arse....... the reconcilliation will get moving.
my 2 cents ( 1.25c US) worth
should we ask simon to put a singles page on here?
like: "male seeks female with boat and motor.
must be able to clean and cook fish and remember to keep refrigerator stocked with beer at all times.
pm for the french chick

does not compute
let me make this very clear from the get go , i am neither for or against the use of marijuana .
but it has just occurred to me that many of my life long friends have either had periods in there life where they have or continue to smoke it .
what if anything has your experience with pot taught you either about yourself or someone you know , was it a positive or negative infuence .
I used it infrequently for a few years when I got out..... I much prefer a beer. The only damage long term was short term memory loss.
I know a few heavy uses, and paranoid only just starts to describe them. For some it's ok, for others it's not worth it. For cancer patients
it should be prescribed.

subject: thermodynamics of hell.
the following is an actual question given on a university of washington chemistry mid term.
the answer by one student was "so profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well.. bonus question: is hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?.
thats a real balltearer of a paper. Guy must have been an aussie
