I am tired...
by iiz2cool inedited to add that this is not original material, but a post i found on a toronto job search newsgroup.
some of the original work was removed because of potentially offensive content.
but i can definitely relate to some of the sentiments here.. walter.

Walter,
Turn off your television set and your computer. Go outside tomorrow for a walk. Enjoy the fall air.
When you come back, throw your television set into the garbage.
Life will be less tiring.
I second this, Shamus. It's been two and a half years since I got rid of TV and everytime I watch it somewhere, I'm tired immediately. You may miss it at first, but not for long. .
Shop at your local co-op, buy in bulk, ignore the ads. Get out and walk; use public transportation. Swim against the current!
Hope you're feeling better soon!

Welcome Dan. Don't be afraid to question - it's encouraged on this board. There have been some great discussions this week; you picked a good time to join.
Read "Crisis of Conscience" it will explain much. While you're at the book store, pick up some parenting books for some balance to the info from the wts.

Many good thoughts for surgery. If you experience post-surgery pain, by all means speak up! You don't have to suffer. It's the medical staff's job to make you comfortable.
Wishing you the best,

$$ Cultivate a Giving Spirit Toward the WT Society - 11/1/2003 WT $$
by Funchback inthe article found on page 26 gives some biblical examples of why one should cultivate a giving spirit.
then it has a subheading entitled 'jehovah - the greatest giver' which leads to the final obvious subheading 'showing gratitude to jehovah', which really translates to: 'give us (the wts) your money'.
so, what ways do you think the society encourages one to give?

I can't get over how much this is like "worldly" fundraising. And most jw's simply don't see it for what it is. The wts are clear and powerful in their deceipion. People don't even question them. The organization is sociopathic.

We did it, we got out!
by MonkeyPrincess inwe moved out of my parents house last week.
this was so difficult since im df'd and they were only talking to me since we were living with them.
of course i was prepared for what was coming, the yelling, talking, and especially the guilt trip.

Congratulations! What a wonderful beginning. You should feel wonderful that your child will never have to be cast away from you - think of all you've spared your sweet child.
HooRay for you!
