My Mum's gone
by shell69 ina few months ago i noticed that my mum had put her house up for sale, she doesn't live far from me and i had occasion to drive past her house.. well i've had a funny unsettled feeling all week, and i drove along the back of her house yesterday, and all the curtains were gone, she'd obviously left.
feeling brave i drove round the front, and yes its empty, doesnt look like she's been gone long.
i got out and went in the back garden, and looked through the windows.

What a cruel thing. I hope she knew that and that it went against her motherly insticts. When my mom sold the family home, she phoned me less than 24 hours ahead of the move to see if I wanted to have coffee the next morning. I was struggling with two jobs, two kids, and could not drop everything to go see her. I can't bring myself to go by the house. I hope you got some kind of closure in stopping by your old home.

I've just finished reading the entire thread and I agree with JH:
Maybe this misinformation was leaked to your mom to see if you're the JWD minimus
Is it possible that someone wants to know exactly where you stand Min?

So here's what I'm thinking...my bleeding heart liberal rant...
by changeling ini heard on the news this morning that the us has finally met it's enlistement quota.
they acheived this by offering a $20,000 bonus upon enlisting.. the us has also relaxed it's standards as to who they allow to enlist.
a criminal record and drug issues will no longer keep you out of the armed forces.. so, in many cases the country is sending uneduacted, criminally inclined young men and women to a nasty war, to witness atrocities that furthur sear their conscience.

My bleeding liberal heart is right with yours. It feels like we're doing things backward in this country. OK, I'm ready for the shots, too.

How many of you had book studies held in your home?
by FreedomFrog inmy ex and i did for several years in our new home.
i was excited at first because that meant we were "good" dubs.
after about 6 months someone stuck their finger in our candle we had burning in the bathroom and splashed wax all over our new bathroom wall.

We did, too. It felt like the home was no longer mine. They'd change meeting for field service times, add days, meet back after lunch, just like it was a kh. I can't remember when or why we stopped or it was moved.

Was There Any Watchtower Interpretation That You Never Quite Understood?
by minimus ini knew what the watchtower taught regarding the "faithful & discreet slave class" but how they could ever suggest that "domestics" were "individual members" of the anointed that were given food to the other anointed ones, yet they specifically were not members of the governing body, but the governing body represented the group that would take the lead in feeding others, was beyond me!
the whole interpretation of the fds doctrine is ridiculous!.
were there certain things that puzzled you as to how the watchtower could come up with a particular view?

The blood issue. Either yes or no; how on earth they can justify fractions has always been beyond me. You either pour it out on the ground or you don't.

My story- Here goes!
by Younglove1999 ini've just been writing away the past few days about my thoughts and feelings since my husband and i decided to finally call it quits and stop going to meetings.
in fact, he's the one who told me about this website.
he's a lurker though, so i don't think any have heard from him.

Congratulations on you and your husband making your exit together. It's great that your daughter will be raised free of the cult's teachings, too. We hope to hear more of your story.
