Well, Jesus would have been murdered by any other barbarous manner, which might have appeased Jehovah.

After leaving the JW cult, I did search for any truth I may be missing and found that:
- Bible is fake and so as all other religions.
- Evolution is right. Nature authenticates this.
- Science is right, even if it contradicts with whatsoever religious beliefs.
- Also my cult experience has trained my mind to be more critical now and not to believe extraordinary claims that lack even simple evidence. This attitude reveals the truth behind any dubious claims

I was raised up as a Protestant. Had muddled up thinking's about heaven and hell and eternal life.
Became a JW and was in for 11 years. Things seemed to get clarified but I always had doubts about God, heaven, eternal life and so on....
Quit JW. Researched a lot about Bible and other religions and found everything to be Bunk.
Evolution is the only thing that makes sense to me now. Living things are born and they die.
Closely watching nature would nail the fact that once a creature dies, that is the end of it, for it. Gone for eternity.

Millions Then Living Did Not Survive
by Fred Franztone init's almost 2018, almost 100 years since 'judge' rutherford confidently prophesied that 'millions now living will never die!'..
so how many of those millions are left?
well, since it was 100 years ago, all we need to do is find out how many people of age 100 and above are currently living.

Rutherford was talking about the heavenly creatures. Wont be surprised if WT spins it like this.

Good Works by "worldly people".
by Lost in the fog ini have friends who are called "worldly people" by jws.
these people are actively involved in feeding the homeless over christmas.
managing thrift shops so they can send financial aid overseas to poorer children.

When I was in, this was one sickening advise I received from elders and fellow JWs.
"Instead of helping the poor and needy, give it to the WT which would provide a permanent solution for the problem"
I couldn't swallow it even then.

Wow! How do J.W.'s survive in India ...

These are very isolated incidents that come up occasionally. I had been a Protestant and a JW in India and never came across any "Persecutions" like these.
However there are some areas where we need to be careful while preaching. Kingdom halls are not as spacious and comfortable as in the developed world.
JW FS is very tough in India. You need to talk a lot, unlike in USA.
People hear what you say and most of them even invite you inside their homes as a sign of hospitality. Baptism is very hard though.

Cool FS. Seems getting eternal life is so easy now. Thinking of joining again with a re-baptism.

"We never solicit donations" - really?
by doubtfull1799 ininspired by this weeks clam article which again "reminds" the brothers pdf their obligation/privilege to donate "voluntarily" i have complied a list of articles or videos in the last 5 years where donations are indeed solicited or encouraged.
the society may argue that these are not actual solicitations because no plate was passed around.
but a donation box is just a more discrete and subtle version of the plate.

During my Protestant Church membership, the sextant would come home to collect the membership fee for my family. We cannot avoid that. In addition there would be a passing of plate in every service, for money.
In that manner the WT is far better.

Hell Exists
by Poppy520 inmany people of all denominations are beginning to believe that hell does not exist - but the bible supports the claim that it does.
examine this verse, one under nkjv and the other nwt:.
nkjv - matthew 25:46, "and these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.".

Great Point. Next time I should ask a JW, the meaning of kolasin and its context in Matthew.
The Bible for sure talks about Hell but the WT tries hard to cover it up.
