  Returning 20 years of JW books to KH need opinions

  my mom and i have been cleaning out the basement and gathered over 20 years worth of jw books, magazines, tracts (some dating from the 1950's!).

  we are playing with the idea to return the jw material in a box, with the words "we quit" and a xeroxed copy of the cover coc next sunday morning in front of the local kh.

  does anyone have any better/more sarcastic ideas?

  This Canadian IS BACK FROM Vegas...

  ...had a wonderful time in vegas....gladys knight, smother's brothers, don rickles were excellent!.

  also we were staying at the imperial palace which coincidentally had an international impersonator's convention....for $10 we got to see the best in the world for 3 hours...it was amazing!

  (since i've won contests as cher, marilyn and annie lennox, this was more than little interesting to me and my party!

  I was just there last week! Don't ya just love Vegas? I used to live there for 2 years. I keep entertaining the thought of moving back. *sighs* I hate suffering from indecision.

  ---getting there so early and then find that the "servants" have saved all the good seats

  ---not having time to make a decent lunch and getting admonished about not buying from nearby vendors.

  I remember one year when I was making the hoagies! We all had to wear gloves, you know, the plastic clear ones. At the end of my session, I noticed I only had 9 plastic fingers on my gloves, one had broken off in one of the sandwiches! Hah, I wonder who got a bit of my glove in their hoagie?!

  SimpleSally - LOL! That is really gross and funny. I remember helping out on the assembly line too many times. Thanks for the story!

  Is There Something You Want To Get Off of Your Chest or Vent About???

  one of the great things that this board offers is the ability to express yourself.

  sometimes, things we couldn't tell a person to their face, we can express here.

  or we might be able to give of ourselves, our experiences, our joys and frustrations......you name it!.......regarding my vent, it is that i can't understand why some post on these boards and yet are very pro witness.

  There is another thing I'd like to vent about. I mean no disrespect when I say this, but I feel the term African American is unfair. If we are to use that term for black people, why am I not given the same label and be called European American, instead of a white person? My family didn't leave Sicily until 1890, which is 30 years after the American Civil War. My ancestors had absolutely no part with slavery. I met a Somalian girl the other day who felt that term was unfair as well, because it did not describe her ethnicity.
