Crazyguy: The elders normally won't promote a divorce (jehovah hates divorce). Spiritual endangerment would be if you constantly bombard her with apostate views and hinder her in her theocratic activities.

Dear crazyguy
I briefly looked at some of your posts. I saw that you had some discussions with your wife about the topics mediator and blood. You wrote you needed to talk to the elders and you did. Then she nearly left because of spiritual endangerment.
My situation is similar to yours. I also told my wife and the elders about my doubts. That affected our relationship quite a lot because she feels that I spiritually cheated on her. I recently told the elders that I would accept and also donate blood. So I don't know yet if they will finally view me as da by action.
My question to you is. How does your wife view you now? Is your relationship better?
If you want to make it clear that you don't want to be a jw then da. Then you can find happiness in another christian church or also just by your personal relationship to Jesus. I can't tell you how this will affect your wife. If you continue to be a loving and respectful father it will maybe be good for your children as you don't have to pretend any longer that you follow jw rules and they see it.
If you da then you show them that you don't agree. Of course you could also try to fade it is not that easy to weigh

Goodbye and Thank You Jw Net (Last Post)
by Brother Mike ini would like to thank everyone for the discussions that we've all had.
after all of them i have realized, all of you have made me realized that after all of the stuff i have been through, i just need a good friend.
and regardless of how hostile our discussion could get i have felt that you have all shared something with me that have helped me.

Hi brother Mike
I just read your last threads. I am sorry that you had to go through difficult times.
I think most of us here are going or went through difficult times. Maybe those that are replying you in a very critical way experienced the most difficult times themselves.
Sadly the core of all this distress is too often that the wt society orders to shun family members who couldn't agree with its teachings or that in life threatening situations blood, red and white blood cells, plasma and platelets need to be refused whereas most other blood products are allowed (which is not logical for me). There are even posters who lost a loved one because of this wt rule (not biblical rule because Jehovah and Jesus always allowed exceptions when life is in danger Lev. 17:15-16, Matth. 12).
Anyway Michael, I wish you all the best and hope that you find true happiness also in your relationship with our creator.

People, I'm still living in fear.
by Julia Orwell ini'm not da or df and for some reason i can't bring myself to da just yet.

Dear Julia
I can understand your feelings. From all your comments I can see that you actually want to da. Then just do it and live how your conscience is telling you. Then you don't have to hide anymore which will be good for your health.
All the best.

I told the elders that I would take blood and donate blood
by Daniel1555 ini found it important to be honest with my wife.
so i told her about my conscience decision that in a medical urgency i want blodless medicine but if a transfusion of blood or the 4 prohibited components is necessary to save my life or health i would accept it.
this would apply especially also for our child (that is not such a problem as in our country the wts recommends to comply with doctors as they have the right to decide concerning minors).. i showed her the reasons why i came to that conscience decision (biblical and logical reasons) and that jehovah and jesus do not like anyone to die because of this wrong bible application.. .

Vidiot: I agree with you.
Desirous of change: All the "fractions" of erythrozytes, leukozytes, thrombozytes and plasma (red and white blood cells, platelets and plasma) are permitted or as they say a conscience matter.
The unlogical things: All of it is derived from blood donations (hundreds or thousands just for one treatment of 'clotting factors'). Some fractions are much bigger than the forbidden components. In mother milk are more white blood cells than in the same amount of blood. That means a baby is allowed to drink white blood cells but is forbidden to have them infused in a medical urgency.

Why the field service reports?
by Syme insome years ago, we had this difficult bible study with a guy who was unofficially a witness for about 40 years, yet he would never make the step of becoming an unbaptized publisher.
we pushed him at some point to tell us the reason, and the reason was this: he didn't agree with the field reports practice.
he said he did a lot of preaching by himself but didn't see any reason to report it to the congregation.. of course, we told him that the reason we hand in field reports is so that we have statistics, and know how much work is done worldwide and bla-bla-blah.

I know of some brothers who don't agree with that practice. They told the elders that they are not turning any reports in even though they do a lot of preaching. I think it would be good to listen to your conscience. If it doesn't allow you to turn in a report, just don't do it. The elders can do nothing about it anyway.
I decided not to do field service anymore. From now on I don't report anymore.

Vidiot: Well I can tell you they don't like to talk about that subject, because the whole thing is unlogical from the core. I mean how can you truly say life is holy and then in the same sentence that you refuse blood products in a last resort situation. Moreover the whole fraction thing made it even more stupid.

CO explaining at Circuit Assembly how to measure neighbourly love
by Daniel1555 ini attended the circuit assembly this weekend.
it was boring as always (except for one positive thing that was said was that we should be gentle especially the elders).. there was one thing that left me absolutely speechless.
the co was explaining how to measure neighbourly love: by the amount of time spent in fieldservice.. the next point he mentioned was that we should strictly adhere to the disfellowshipping arrangments and not find excuses to speak to df family members.. .

I attended the circuit assembly this weekend. It was boring as always (except for one positive thing that was said was that we should be gentle especially the elders).
There was one thing that left me absolutely speechless. The CO was explaining how to measure neighbourly love: BY THE AMOUNT OF TIME SPENT IN FIELDSERVICE.
The next point he mentioned was that we should strictly adhere to the disfellowshipping arrangments and not find excuses to speak to df family members.
In other words. People who go to 3rd world countries for example as nurses or doctors in their free time without pay, or some who cook by their own means for people without food and shelter. No they don't show neighbourly love.
The pioneer and elder who spends 70 hours a month in field service thereby neglecting his wife, not speaking to his aged disfellowshipped mother; well he is the real HERO IN NEIGHBOURLY LOVE.
