Great stuff as usual! I'd have to disagree with your section on Saul, however.
2 Sam 21:12 does not say that the Philistines hung Saul's live body. It says they hung his bones. They took his dead body from the battlefield and displayed it publicly. No contradiction there.
Regarding 1 Chron 10:14, the narrative arc of 1 Samuel makes it pretty clear that Saul lost the battle--and therefore committed suicide--because of God's disfavor on him. In other words, God set him up to die--whether by his own hand or that of the Philistines. So I think it's perfectly reasonable to say that God killed him.
Take another Biblical example, Uriah (Bathsheba's husband). David did not literally kill him; Uriah was killed by Philistines. Still, David plotted and arranged for Uriah's death. So it can reasonably be said that David killed Uriah. By the same logic, 1 Chronicles can reasonably say that God killed Saul, by arranging for his death.

it's a question that the wt has misused to establish its own authority.

as it is, the parable today as a cautionary tale applies to whoever it fits, but it is clear who the original servant was that inspired the parable.. .

she clerked for a supreme court justice and is well able to talk about the laws of the us at a national level.

Excellent article. I agree with the vast majority of it. One thing, however, does concern me. Ms. Hamilton writes:
The one thing no government could do is to publish a list of "possible" pedophiles. Each state, however, could report to the DOJ any public records involving charges against individuals on these claims, and the DOJ could publish on the Web the compilation of the data.
That paragraph is pretty much self-contradictory. Even if the list was not technically called "possible pedophiles", that is exactly what it would be viewed as by the majority of people. I know there are some who take a 'guilty until proven innocent' approach towards accused pedophiles, but that is not something our government should be encouraging. The sexual abuse hysteria of the 80's, as well as the ease of bringing sexual abuse charges in contested divorces and similar scenarios, should give anyone pause.
Thankfully, Ms. Hamilton has an alternate idea that I think is much better:
Another option might be to create a special misdemeanor for pedophiles - one that prosecutors could offer, but that would still go on Megan's List.
This ensures that the public is warned about pedophiles even when prosecutors have to offer a plea bargain, without putting a stain of criminality on people who are not convicted of any offense.
Another possibility, which Ms. Hamilton does not mention, is a registry of individuals who have been found civilly liable for child abuse. Even if they have not been convicted beyond reasonable doubt, they have at least been found liable by a preponderance of the evidence. The key is that there is judicial review involved.
