Well, it's sad that this discussion couldn't go on a bit further as it seems we were getting to some intresting points. It went 200 replies and died because we couldn't get along.......pretty much describes religion

It died because of people that cannot be reasoned with. And there's nobody that can legitimately claim that I'm one of those.

p.s.> Personally, I think that Elsewhere's dog has stooped as far as a dog can stoop by humping Alan's leg. Plus, that was a terrible waste of semen. He should've been more particular about choosing who to make love to. Now the dog's reputation is shot, the same as his wad. He may as wll just be "put down" (euthanized) now, poor puppie. Maybe that's what happened to Alan's brain ... it got euthanized.

Perhaps Alans point was that the scriptures does not say specifically the"time period" they were allowed to eat from it. Becuse god gave them permission to eat from EVERY tree....doesn't mean they had ALREADY begun eating from the Tree of Life.--Gumby

I don't think that he's heard anything, nor do I think he ever will. The WTS is simply waiting ... waiting for him to go the rest of the way crazy, I believe. The guy actually burned his brain on drugs some years ago, and I don't think he ever healed from the abuse.

As you can see Watchman never got around to answering the persons questions. I do remember reading where he said that he felt a bit embarassed over the fact that he hasn't gotten a response after having spent over $4000.00 in mailing out all those letters. Oh, yes, I do remember one other thing. He had one of the letters returned. Seems that an Elder sent it back to him, with the simple message attached ... calling him an apostate. That's all I know about the deal.

According to Genesis 2:16, 17 Adam had permission to eat from "every" tree of the garden, except for ONE particular tree. So, how can you say that Genesis doesn't say that Adam had permission to eat from the tree of life?

Obviously, AlanF himself is NOT going to acknowledge that he made a false claim. Don't you think that you're exhibiting a bit of bias by your not calling attention to to HIS error. I believe that if it had been me instead that you and several others wouldn't have let it slip by unmentioned.

You do realize, don't you, that you have the right to ALSO call attention to Alan's failure to address things that are placed before him?

TWO more rebellions after Armageddon- is it REALLY "Paradise"?

as witnesses, we believed that for a thousand years in the new system ....life would be grand.

at the termination of the thousand year rule of jesus, we learned satan would be let loose and many paradise dwellers would follow him.

why do you suppose the majority of mankind who had no satan or demons to influence them, would want to follow a wicked wiley snake who already got his arse kicked twice now already from god for rebelling.

At least with fundamental christianity, once you have been Born Again, your all good. Sins are gone for good, no more tests, when you die you are with the lord forever with no more run in with Satan and his demons and buddies. Hasn't Christendom virtually eliminated the earth from the picture? Isn't it true that Christendom teaches that all the "saved" will be living in heaven as spirit creatures? Sorry, but I can't keep from snickering at such a silly idea. Also, I wonder how they explain the purpose for all those galaxies that have been discovered there in deep space? How do they explain the existence of the planets in our own solar system? Just pretty sights to behold in the night sky? Did God really create those planets for no other reason than simply to entertain us after the sun goes down? No, Christendom does NOT have a far better hope than JWs do.

Can you say "stupid"? Also, there are people today who know that smoking can cause cancer, but they continue to smoke just the same. Simply knowing that something is bad doesn't necessarily mean they are immune to being tempted to do it again.

No. There will only be the rulership of Christ and the 144,000--that's the reason it's called the 1000-year reign of Christ or the kingdom of Christ.
