  A question of race

  since i was a believer from the earliest of my memories, i spent my formative academic years not thinking or caring much about my future.

  although 1975 (armageddon / the end of the world / jehovah's judgment) was still a year away, as a naive, dumbass teenager it was looming very large on my radar screen.

  besides *that*, my best jw buddy got baptized in february of that year.

  It very well could be a question of race and most likely is. I never really saw racsism when I was growing up, because my parents lived in an all white neighborhood and when I saw people of color, I can honestly say I was very afraid. I share that to share this, I am a white woman married to a black man. I have 4 by-racial children and 2 white children. I have seen with my own eyes and ears what I refused to believe existed. It was alittle harder to deal with 12-15 years ago. Now it is a little more common than before. The best thing to do is rise above it, and be the better man,

  50 Lambs Have Arrived Today, We're Gonna Get Em!

  here in the dallas area, we now have 50 stuffed lambs that will be distributed to k.h.

  's on the afternoon of the 27th!

  Hope you recover quickly. Dont worry, it is the best thing you can do. I had mine out years back, and i am so much better today because of it. You wont believe what a difference it will make.

  hey everyone,.

  i was moved by the sad news about ima and his poor son's kindness to follow his dad's last wishes.

  (see thread entitled, "please read") anyway, it struck me as odd last night that i actually shed tears over this man.

  Hi DJ. You are so right. I have gone thru some things recently and I am very sincere when I say, I really would not have had anyone else to talk to about them. The friends i had of course were all in the truth and I dont have any of them any more. I have met some new ones here and at home, but the ones here truely care and understand what you go through.

  Totally happy in your marriage?

  how many of you are totally, incredibly happy in your marriage?

  how many of you feel that your spouse is your absolute soul mate and you couldn't even imagine your being married somebody else?

  talking with the women at work, i'm surprised at how many are not totally happy.

  I do believe in soulmates. And i do believe i have found mine. I am happy now after 10 years. We are at a totally different level now, and it is wonderful. I told him i just learned how to tolerate him thats all. Just kiddin. He is the love of my life. It took a long time to find the right one.

  And the best and most important thing is that I told him I couldnt stand him as a witness, he is so much sweeter not being a jw. Imagine that.

  before my dad went into surgery he asked that i contact the people on this board and let them know how much it ment to him much it ment to him over the past month or so to be able to talk with all of you.. this is one of the few things in his life he could still enjoy.dad wanted to especially thank craig (ona ) for accepting him and apologies for anything he said that might have offended you.. my father was in so much pain over the past seven years ,god must have thought it was time,dad passed a few houres after surgery.. dad asked not to have a service and will be cremated than placed in an urn ( as he said "so he can keep an eye on mom" ) we all loved him deeply and he will be missed.

  i will leave the company email should anyone want to,i will print them out for mom and the family to read.. again thanks to all, our love is with each and every one of you.. matthew mc cune [email protected]

  do you think it is better to just live and let live with family that are witnesses, or will not confronting them with their beliefs come back to haunt you?

  It really depends on how they would react to it. Maybe share alittle at a time, and see what the reaction will be, then take it from there. Most jw's that you try to talk to though it is like beating a dead horse.
