Unbaptised, I haven't read all the posts here regarding your questions, However I must Commend you for taking the time to investigate the organisation you are studying with.

Many here, including myself, have grown up in the "Truth". We did NOT have the luxury of talking to people that could show you both sides of the coin so to speak.

For your sake, take note of what some have to say here on this forum, and ask as many questions as you possibly can from the person you study with, based on what you have been told here. Do NOT accept everything shown to you verbatim by your teacher. We were HIGHLY trained to talk to people that showed interest, so I'm sure your teacher is also well "qualified", to teach the organisations ideologies.

Before you commit yourself to anything, the Jehovah's Witness organisation has to offer question it! I would say the same thing to anyone looking into other religions.

The amasing thing that you'll find is, IF you ask too many of the right questions, your teacher will eventually brand you as NOT a sheeplike person but a Goat. Just wait and see!

If he asks where you come up with these questions and you say the Internet...he/she will say AHHHHH that's Satan trying to pull you away from the "Truth". The choice ultimately is yours. However there are SOME genuine people in here that will answer your questions honestly, and with evidence to support it.

Good luck on your search for Truth.

The Watchtower Superstore,Paradise For Sale

good morning everybody:.

i have been doing some more investigating, and found that the reason that k-mart is closing down, is because the watchtower has opened it's doors.

for those that haven't seen this web, it is truely a mind blower.

If there is anyone out there that thinks that the Society is not benefitting in some way from the Stoops Manufacture, then they don't know the Watchtower very well.

You need to prove statements like that. If you can then great, if not, then you are only lessening your credibility.

If a good business person sees there is a need for something, and knows there is a market for it, they will exploit it.

Like I said this company is NOT the first company to manufacture such items as the KM, WT, NWT covers etc, it is happening down here too, in OZ and I personally know the owner of the printing company, he is a JW not very active, nevertheless, a JW, he does NOT pay anything to the (b)org. He told me if he had to, he would not have done it.

the question: with the gb no longer running the wt and the appointment of president(s) - it is almost begging the question - what is/are the president(s) renumeration?

And the above one I think, from distant memory, (cos I can't check it right now, don't have the book with me), had to do with the travel to conventions, and not vacations.

I could be wrong, but I hate it when people twist things to support an argument or point of view, I certainly don't want to fall into that trap, as has the organisation.

I don't like heresay, I want provable facts.

What's the Most Boring Thing?

for me the most boring activity is filling out income tax forms.

i find the most boring person is the dali lama.

just looking at him makes me feel bored.

Sitting on the dock on the bay watching the tide roll in very boring.
Listening to country music not only boring but also VERY annoying.
Clog Dancing although good aerobic exercise I find excruciatingly boring.
Watching GOLF on TV. Now thats a naptime event.

Ok U_R that's the last straw I withdraw my marriage proposal,

I LOVE CLOG DANCING!

A similar printing firm here saw the niche in the market and started producing WT covers KM covers etc etc.

But it was made clear that the (b)org had nothing to do with it and received no kick backs

But who REALLY KNOWS

Actually if anything the society is prolly kicking itself for not thinking about it first, great way of making money

Let's bring out T-shirts, saying "I'm a proclaimer of the GOOD NEWS of God's Kingdom"

We'll make a killing

Question: ONLY ANOINTED ARE UNFORGIVABLE ?

minimus got me to thinking in his thread about the unforgivable sin and judging apostates.

i hope someone with a clearer memory than mine can confirm or deny what i remember.

i have some vague memory that the society taught that only members of the "anointed class" (144,000) could commit the unforgivable sin against the the holy spirit because only they had been called by it personally and, therefore, only they could reject it consciously and willfully.

Look the heading above is supposed to read

"Jehovah forgives in a Large Way"

But this stupid thing keeps cutting some of it out.

I tried 3 times already to edit it, and it keeps cutting it out.
