  i've read a lot of things on this and other web sites that condemn jw's, and i agree that jw's have a huge spiritual awakening coming to them, but i think christianity as a whole has that coming to them.. people have compared what they see in the jw org.

  to the inquisition for example.

  i agree, but have they forgotten that the inquisition and many other evil things have transpired during so-called christianity.

  it causes much less inner turmoil in me to accept that they are at least well intentioned.

  Well, I'm happy for you, it's quite the reverse for me, I see them for what they are, manipulative, controlling, and Liars.

  And it gives me inner peace to know I'm no longer part of the LIE.

  Who said "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem"?

  Why do you think......

  so many people who come out of the borg are so depressed and angry and freaked out?????

  i have been out for 7 years now and i am happier than i have ever been in my life and was from the very first moment i left!

  the only reason i even go into ex-jw groups is i like to make fun of them and other exs are the only ones who understand what i am talking about when i make a funny comment??

  Some have the belief system more deeply ingrained than others, so it becomes harder to just let it go, without any real effort.There are also those whose whole family structure has been raped, and it's a little difficult just to walk away without any pain. Plus we are all different emotionally, and don't always deal with things the same way.

  Yes, but that's not what I said is it SS?

  I said:

  Those that remain humble and meek in nature cannot be classified as narcissistic.

  Big difference as SEEING ones self in a way, and BEING that way isn't there?

  I know a few very humble and meek people actually, and they don't go around having to say "look how humble and meek I am" that would offcourse be contrary to being humble and meek, much like the pharisees, who had someone walk in front of them proclaiming how great they were for their great contributions to the synagogue etc.

  Hubby passed away this morning...

  i want to thank all those that helped and encouraged me in my hard times!..hubby passed away from his cancer this morning.

  i am so sad my heart is broken.

  we decided to go ahead and have a memorial for him this weekend at the kingdom hall he went to.

  Interesting article, I tend to agree with how U_R sees it though not everyone desiring a relationship with their creator, is necessarily egocentric/narcissistic.

  IMHO, it is when one permits themselves to lose focus on his/her relationship with their God, and instead become power hungry, they then become self absorbed in their own importance, and start to persue power, or status within a group/congregation. I think that's where the Jehovah's Witnesses have gone astray, especially those calling themselves the FDS/Remnant Class.

  Those that remain humble and meek in nature cannot be classified as narcissistic.
