  i would be interested to see what witnesses think they would get through "armageddon" if they think about the episode in the bible of how moses didnt get through to the promised land because he said "i will give you water" and didnt mention god.

  that seems to be probably a slight wrongdoing and he didnt get through......what about the witnesses now who do worse and think they will get through

  Perth assembly - AUSTRALIA

  well, my sister in law and me (she's a witness) planned to go to a concert just after the assembly finishes on the 14 dec. so we are staying at the casino in a very very nice room.

  the witnesses are having an assembly right next door to the casino and we had to walk nearby to get to our accommodation.

  as we were passing them all sitting on the lawn with their kids or on their own, i was so glad to be free from all that and not have to go anymore.

  i carry a few extra pounds but i generally don't overeat.

  however, i enjoy a good meal.

  but, the organization that says, "let us not judge others" is giving it's members free reign to judge those who are overweight (in the judger's eyes).

  What did you day dream about at assemblies?

  as a kid i would try to pay attention, but i just couldn't hang in there.

  if i didn't day dream i was going to go insane.. i used to create scenarios in my mind that i was a jw super hero.

  i had a special costume that was partially made of "flubber" that would allow me to bounce all over the auditorium.

  Christmas tunes in the Kingdom Hall

  what you need to do is go to the kingdom hall and bring your mobile phone with you and make sure you have the christmas ringtone picked so that u can rig it up with someone to call you at the most opportune time so that the tune goes off in the hall

  Passing the time at boring meetings

  i was doing some cleaning this weekend and ran across a drawer with a few of my old calculators, including my very first one.

  today they have ones that are credit-card sized that do more.

  but i remember getting it when i was about 12 and in 6th or 7th grade and at that time in the late 70's a calculator this size was still sort of a gadget.. for some reason the first thing that bounced into my mind when i pulled it out and looked at it was my old hall at the time.

  i use to draw little stick pictures in the corners of my song book or bible and then flick the pages so it looked like a cartoon
