Interesting. How do you actually support military action?

However, it's not my job to raise the plight of victims of homophobic extremists.

So while doing hardly anything is it your job to tell others that they are not doing enough or not doing it properly?

What are you doing to raise the plight of vicitims of homophobic extremists?

I've met with and written to MPs and MEPs on the subject and campaigned to prevent gay asylum seekers being returned to dangerous countries. I probably don't do enough but I certainly don't go around pointing fingers at others telling them that they are doing it wrong.

And it's not my job to to it either.

Are you in direct contact with Pink News to tell them they aren't outraged enough?

The point is that he didn't think it was racist language just like some people want homophobia to be strictly defined as violence against or fear of. It's more subtle than that just like racism can be.

The JW cartoon provides the context that perpetuates stigma against same sex couples. Yes it's consistent with their past and their interpretation of the Bible but that doesn't make it any less depressing for anyone struggling to come to terms with their sexuality.

But Simon while I'm sure you will continue to see this as another overreaction, I wish you all the best.

My grandfather refused to accept that calling someone from Pakistan a "Paki" was unacceptable, he didn't think it was racist. By this one definition of racism, maybe it wasn't

Simple Definition of racism

: poor treatment of or violence against people because of their race
: the belief that some races of people are better than others

Let's face it, there's a generational problem. Just like some elderly people struggle to identify racist language or attitudes, some people find it hard to understand homophobia. They usually quote the dictionary.

I'm delighted that the LGBT communities have such a passionate fellow traveler as you LUHE. Out of interest can I ask what else you are doing to raise the plight of victims of homophobia with people who can effect change?

I'm really not clear what difference you think PN condemning Daesh atrocities in an opinion piece would make: will it stop them? Aren't the pictures chilling enough?
And why are you more interested in the coverage of Daesh atrocities than others?

Now finally Caleb & Sofia Anti-Gay Video going viral in Germany too

today spiegel online & bento have an article about the anti-gay video.. spiegel is one of the biggest and most serious news media in germany.. they also report and show that youtubers cut the video and changed it in a funny way.

sofia tells her mother that the teacher said it's fine if they live each other.

then sofia's mother says: "thats wonderful.".

Of course it promotes the idea that homosexuality is not bible-approved and that is the real issue - but it's not news, not shocking...

Shunning isn't news or shocking either and every time the WT re-endorses it people are offended but are not told to calm down. And based on the media coverage the video is getting, it seems like it is actually news to non-JWs.

if we're honest, there's a "hierarchy of death" - well, there seems to be a hierarchy among the liberal Media: Western gay people are worth more than gay people from other areas.
Originally, I cheekily asked if this was to do with racism but I don't think that is the case. But it's still to do with progressive politics and progressives' skewed view of the world.
