When they get out, these men may never "identify" as active members of the gay community. But they may choose to go on seeking sexual and emotional satisfaction with other men, and they may do this in covert, even violent ways.
The article reflects that the same notion as the Kinsey Scale. It's not black/white - straight/gay but the dogmatic religious approach has unfortunately polarised the argument when reality reveals human sexuality as a broad spectrum, or fluid.

i consider them inappropiate, won't do anything for current witnesses curious about the truth about the truth if they see gay dating adverts on this site; it will just strengnthen their resolve that apostates are bad.

i don't visit here much, and i know this point will be contested, what with so many 'open minded' people on here, but i think it dents our operation in helping people see the truth.

and the Scientology adverts wont be off-putting, never mind the blatant apostasy? lol These adverts only appear on the threads that are on a gay topic and most people are savvy enough to understand how internet advertising works.

Scotsman, your hunch is correct.
I'm getting good at reading between the lines. Primate Dave, interesting points. I wasn't molested as a minor, nor did I have sexual contact with other kids (well, I did once lick yoghurt off one hot friend's leg but I don't think that qualifies as sexual) but boy did I fantasise about having sex with a guy from a young age. The desire didn't come from a book, it sprang from within me.

I might be wrong in this, but sometimes I get the impression that Junction Guy hasn't met many gay people, and that he might have a had a bad experience with the ones he has. It's just a hunch...
Lifestyle - wrong choice of word I'd say, but understand where you're coming from.
I'm in a monogomous relationship with a man. Our life looks a lot like the lives of other couples we're friends with friends, gay and straight. I have friends who have promiscuous sex, gay and straight. I have friends who are into fetishistic sex, gay and straight. Gay people aren't the 'other', they're the pretty much the same as you - dull/funny/freakish/ordinary/religious/agnostic etc. etc.

I think that SITC is the 21st Cent Jane Austen, neither of which I take particularly seriously, both of which are entertaining. The nice thing about the big screen is it revealed just how truly awful some of their acting is - Chris Noth in particular. Token nod to racial diversity and slanderous references to mexican hygiene we a bit embarrassing.

But at least the fight scene gave us a chance for a good look at the Vivienne Westwood dress - although I think she should have chosen the Dior. And her clothes got way cooler after the break-up. It really is vacuous trashy nonsense that's rather pleasurable.

Men here don't seem to have the same hangups that American men do. I recall an American guy telling me it was gay to cross your legs at the knee, now it's walking down the street... at last, we're all gay!
