i think i have read this somewhere, but do the jehovah witnesses believe that jesus came and spoke with some members of the watchtower organization?

is this a lie, or do they truly believe it?

if it is true, do they state it in any book or magazine?

Watchtower Prophecies and Contradictions

my jw friend does not believe that the watchtower has made many false prophecies before, he says that all people who say those things are apostates and that they are lying.

well, i know that many of you know magazines where the watchtower prophecises or makes contradictions, can anyone post what magazines they were (year, month, day) and if you can, the page #.

that way i can tell him to check them out himself.

WTS says faith is not enough! (Worship Bk chap 8)

most people would think that having faith is what is required for a christian.

but it seems the borg is saying that something more than faith is required.

that seems to be the thinking in chapter 8 of the recently released book worship the only true god.

I've been reading the bible and found some passages relating to this issue. First, I would like to point out something that Martin Luther said describing the whole deal: One is saved by faith on its own, but if the faith stays alone, then it is not faith. He is just basically saying that if you have faith, you will automatically do "good works" that go with it. But, if faith stays alone, then it is not really faith. My pastor at church said that there are some people that go to church all their life, doing good works, and believing they will enter heaven, but that in their hearts they really didn't believe in Christ. He says that these people are the hardest to save. Well, anyways, I would like to give some bible passages that support the whole deal.

-Romans 3:22, Romans 3:28, Romans 3:31, Romans 9:30-31

- Galatians 2:16, Galatians 2:21, Galatians 3:10-11, Galatians 3:28, Galatians 5:5-6.

JWs say that in James 2:14 it says that people need to have works in order to be saved. James is a very controversial book of the bible because it seems like he is contradicting Paul. In reality, the whole point is that James is saying that if you have faith, your works will come with it, and your works will show your faith. Like in the quote above stated by Martin Luther says, if faith is alone, then it is not faith.

i was wondering where i can get some watchtower magazines, the really old ones where they teach about all those prophecies and stuff.

i was thinking of collecting a few to show them to my jw friend, but i have heard they are hard to find.

i have also heard about some magazines being in cd-roms, but i don't think a jw would accept that, i think they would want harder evidence.

Of course I am trying to show him the real truth, real Christianity. I wouldn't like to shake anyone's faith, even if they were Buddhists, let them keep on going with their stuff. Just that I am really interested in showing this person the real Jesus Christ.

Matthew 24:36

i need someone to explain to me matthew 24:36, preferably people who support the trinity.

it states that no one knows the second coming of jesus, not even the angels, just the father.

my question is, how can jesus not know his second coming if he is part of the trinity, or part of god?

I don't think men inspired by God such as John would make mistakes or assumptions and write them down, they were texts that were to be read for hundreds of years to learn of God.If they were to do this, I think they would be leading other people away from the truth. (No, I did not mean the Jehovah Witnesses when I said the 'truth', lol).

Hi there. I told my friend about the JW sites, but he told me that the internet is full of apostates. So, in other words, he doesnt believe in any other web site other than watchtower.org. I might try the CD thing though. Does anyone have it, so they can make a copy, and ship it over here? Lol, i am poor. Thanks guys.

Hi, its me again, lol. I talked with my JW friend and he said that he went to some site that talked about the JWs and all their false teachings and prophecies and he says that they are all lies and that they just want for the JWs to look like retards. I told him that the only way to prove all that stuff such as the prophecies would be to find magazines of the Watchtower from times like the 1900s or something. I hope I can find some of those.
