Was Nat Turner Right?
by Mecurious? innat turner was born in 1800 in southhampton virginia.
he was taught how to read by his master's son and over the years he became very religious and served as preacher for the slaves in the area.
nat turner felt that god had called on him to lead his people out of slavery.

Bullcrap heard from stage, in mags, etc.
by avishai ini remember one time i was sitting there and the speaker said "see, men were'nt meant to have long hair.
it's not as full as women's etc., thin and scraggly" when right next too me was this blind "study," asian guy, with maybe the best hair, long, i'd ever seen.
another time, we were going thru the infamous "disco" issue of the awake during the service meeting, and they said "disco is so prevalent that there's even a grocery store called disco now!!

Disgusting thing = WTS
by hamsterbait injeremiah 1:10 : " see, today i appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and over throw, to build and to plant.".
does anyone else remember the talk at the dc about 1978, 79 where they said that the 'jeremiah class' would play the part of a spearhead that brings down christendom?.
since the disgusting thing stands in a place holy to christendom, this must mean that it is disgusting to her.

Theocratic Warfare/What's Up With That?
by prophecor inhi all, at the risk of sounding ignorant, i'm going to present this question anyway.
i hear all the talk about theocratic warfare and all it's implications.
what exactly constitutes theocratic warfare, and if it entails lying, as i've heard it to be, how do they justify it?

Content of forums big and small
by Introspection ini understand there has been a number of smaller xjw forums that has sprung up, and i've noticed that it seems like there is less in depth discussions on those, it seems like it's more of a homey place to hang out and chat.
i'm guessing one of the reasons would be there's just less people there, so you don't have as many different viewpoints.
has anyone else noticed differences like this?

Let's Infiltrate....
by integ inas i eagerly anticipate and pray for the demise of the org, i am thinking about different ways this could possibly be accomplished...one way would be from within.
i know this sounds crazy but what if some of the bethel "heavies" actually turned against the org, or are already subletly trying to bring it down from the inside.
i know this is but a dream, but it's not entirely impossible...it seems like that would be one of the only ways to expedite the process..you would start seeing veiled, insidious, anti-org "suggestions" in the mags, books, etc.

by integ incould someone direct me to threads discussing johnny carsons' witness affiliation.
my mom told me that during one of the salutes to him.
an interviewer asked johnny what he would be doing now that he retired, to which he responded "i'm going to become a jehovahs witness".. is this true?

Subtle Protests.........
by integ ini continue in my fade to make those little subtle protests when around the witnesses....you know what i mean?
doing the kind of things that have nothing to do with violating "bible standards", but are none the less frowned upon by the self righteous of dubdum.
my latest was when attending a wedding reception the other night.
