You obviously have a unforgiving attitude. I think it's related to the fact that you got taken with all your worth as a JW and when you realized you've been suckered and left the JW world flat broke.

You resent anyone, like my mistake for example in which I am sorry for and will resent anyone asking for money in any way, shape and form irregardless if it's from someone like Kenneth Copeland or a begger sitting on a corner holding a tin cup asking for change or even me.

It won't do you any good making fun of me, because I've move past my mistakes. Instead, I find moral support to be far better than asking for money. I find it more enriching from people who offers advice, support in forms of prayer or a cyber hug. Anything of that helps.

Right now, it's not me I'm worried about, it's my wife. So how about thinking good thoughts for her? Hm?

I had interpreted Outlaw's remark the same way and he wasn't the only one that made that remark, others have made the same remarks towards me as well in the last several years.

Some just don't realize that those outside of the cult who has never been in one can also make a difference in people's lives that has been effected by cults in some form or another.

Does anyone feel threatened by outsiders of the JW world? Does it matter if anyone never has been a JW?

What about those who have family members who are one, but not they themselves? Or friends who knows someone that is a JW? Or lost a friend to the JW world and is desperate to want them back? How about those that become aware of JWs being a cult and wants to make a difference in their lives and maybe rescue just one person out of a cult, would that be all worth it?

I was one that became aware and made several friends who were members of the JW world. A couple who were a 4th generation. Another couple I knew were Mormons.

I got just one guy out of the cult after spending months with him and he was just in for 3 years. He's out now and is a truck driver. He regrets divorcing his wife over the false religion and she doesn't want him back after the way he treated her as she was beneath him because she refused to become one of them and gain custody over their child, using that Custody book that the WTS passes out to members who have custody issues.

Even if I spent an entire lifetime getting just one person out, I think it's well worth it.

So what say you about outsiders visiting this message board?

My Wife's SSD Got Cut Off

this morning, i came to discover in great shock that my wife's ssd has been stopped.. yesterday, i noticed her ssd wasn't automatically deposited as it usually does every 3rd of the month.. .

this morning i checked again and it still wasn't there.

so i got on vp and called to inquire what's going on with her ssd.

why did she not go to a battered women's shelter?

Ask Lady Lee, she can better explain what it is like to be under the control of a control freak and the psychological effects of being battered and constantly controlled in all aspects of one's life.

It has about the same aspect of brainwashing while being a JW under the control of a false religion, but it's more of a physical and emotional trauma than mind control.

Took me a while to get her to open up to me, but she finally said that whenever she's abused, her broken mental state made her believe this was her fault and she deserved being beaten for it, even at times she may not understand why but accepted it nonetheless.

She's slowly getting out of that emotionlly and mentally. I'm always working on her mental and emotional health everyday. She's looking more and more happier than she ever has been for the most part of her life. She's realizing even after years of abuse, from her parents and her previous husbands whom all have abused her in some form or another. She's realizing now that being abused is not a normal cycle of life. Never has been and never will. You should see how she gazes at me when I take care of her, especially now in her current state. She cries because she feels she doesn't deserve my everloving kindness and love and I keep telling her she's wrong and she does deserve it.

She's come a long way, baby. It's about damn time!

What happened to my wife 10 years ago was no fault of her own, especially when she's dealing with a control freak husband back in the day that pretty much farked up her life and the kids life as well.

How ya like it when you're stuck in bed and have your wheelchair taken from away from you and the phone ripped off the wall so you can't call for help and the door padlocked outside of the bedroom?

You go to work under a watchful eye from your control freak hubby who ALSO works in the same place right besides you? They both worked in a donut processing center side by side on a rotating belt inspecting each donut as it goes by to makes sure they're all made correctly before they're all placed in boxes down at the end of the line past them and ready for shipping. He was constantly by her side eyeing her like a hawk while she's scared constantly.

They both got canned because of his constantly hawking over her and giving the evil eye to guys that come talking to her, including the male boss. Plus they missed too many days of work because the "hubby" didn't feel like going to work and he's only her source of ride to work.

He left because he got bored with her and the kids was getting older as his son was finally standing up to him fighting back. So he took off. My wife finally filed for divorce in his absence in 2004. A year before I finally met my wife. I have no regrets meeting her. I love and adore my wife.

I'm finding out my wife isn't the only one that got cut of her SSD, a bunch of people are complaining as well. Some of my friends on AllDeaf have posted about their checks being stopped as well as some of my FB are saying the same thing.

I have a bad feeling that when I get to the SSA office Tuesday it's gonna be flooded with people who are experiencing the exact same problem.

Well, you voted for Obama, here's the "CHANGE" you can believe in.

I do adore your work and the face of courage you put forth upon the ugly face of the WTS. But I can't help but think the headline topic of this thread to be a bit misleading. Thousands each year?

Hundreds per year perhaps, but thousands? Is there some sort of satistics or research materials that supports this claim?

Nonetheless, you're doing a fine job.
