I NEED YOUR ADVICE...! How to tell JW mom I'm going to live with my sweetie
by Kudra inmy sweetie and i will be visiting my parents in a couple of weeks.
they know all about how much in love we are and jw mom always asks about him, how he's doing, when we first started dating she asked all about what i liked about him, how he treats me, if he's easygoing and i can have a laugh with him etc... .
so she is happy about us.

I thought you were saving yourself for a Bethelite?
First of all CONGRATULATIONS! And I think it is sweet he is going to ask your dad for your hand in marriage. Parents love that stuff.
So how long from August till ya'll get married and quit living in sin? Personally I'm a "need to know" kind of person. Do your parents need to know where he will be staying when he moves back there? Are they likely to ask outright if he is living with you? If it's for a short time then it might not be to difficult to keep it from them...if it's gonna be awhile it might get to messy. Regardless I would probably wait until it actually comes up and then feel my way as it were.
Hope that helps some!
Oh and come to Texas!

Gay/Lesbian Symbols
by Crumpet inthe whole rainbow thread piqued my curiosity.
i have often wondered how you know without speaking to someone if they are gay and you are not in a known gay place - like um brighton or the candy bar in london.. does anyone know of any other gay and lesbian symbols or signs?.
someone told me once that a ring on your pinkie was a sign - can anyone verify the truth of this?.

Also what is it about me that makes other women think I might be gay or bisexual when I have never hinted at it?
Probably because you are like me and flirt with anyone w/in range.

Merry Becomes A Muslim (a bit long)
by Merry Magdalene inwho is merry?
i was born in 1965, the same year that malcolm x was assassinated.
my father had committed suicide a few months into my mother's pregnancy so we lived with her parents until she married again when i was about 18 months old.

After looking at just a few items about Mr. Spencer you can't help but wonder how biased this book might or might not be.

Counting Time
by Xena ini don't know about anyone else but this could be the source of major contention between dubs in my halls.
you had those who started their time as soon as you pulled out of the hall parking lot (me), those who counted from the first knock at the door or laundry mat visited, and the die hards who didn't start until they actually spoke to someone(my sister).
my sister and i would go round and round about this, i finally just pretended to start my time when she did just to shut her up.

It's amazing how much thought went into counting time when you consider it isn't even scriptural, eh?
I placed more magazines when we had a set price for them then when we started asking for donations. That always felt ackward for me.

Why do you call it tuna paste? It's not pasty. It's quite good. Two thumbs up.

IN YOUR OPINION...
by LittleToe in...what kind of thread topic produces the longest threads?.
what interests you, and are you put off once the thread reaches ten pages??.

But on that note, I find the threads where the originator disappears for days a little disconcerting. If someone feels strongly enough to start a thread, WTF are they doing leaving it without the courtesy of a reply for days??
Just a personal gripe.
scurries off to my last thread
hehehehe you said ink

I haven't found a man yet worth going to jail over if he cheats on you....and that is where you will be going if you get caught vandalizing his truck I would imagine.
It probably would bring temporary satisfaction but long term? No....there are better more subtle ways of getting revenge.
