like have you said stuff that is just outright insane like "each and every one of us should be ready and willing to die for the society" purely in the hopes that you'd turn someone off?

i imagine for most of us trying to fade that would be the most difficult thing to do, but some people are really good at shutting down and just going with a flow, too.. .

i ask because it's the only possible explanation i can come up with for some of the really bat-shit insane stuff i've heard come from the podium.

Once I was giving a talk 4 on the ministry school and told the audience " How do you know if you are in the truth?" I used the example of the Bereans and said that we must each do our own study to be sure. Boy, did I get into trouble. I was told that other people need to study, not us! They really tore me a new one!

since the door has been reopenned again, do statistics show an increase of this generation, do new partakers still get a talk from the elders after the memorial now.

I think it exactly the opposite. The FDS would have had the numbers for the partarkers at least 6 months ago. How do you explain the increase? Simple, reopen the doors to heaven. What a crock of shit!

Great Read, Doug. The only thing I could add is the fact that the accounts of the FDS recorded at different times, not about the same occasion. In the Report in Luke, Jesus was replying to a completely different question, at least 6 months before the report in Matthew. The timeline is shown in the back of the Interlinier Translation. How can a parable given by Jesus, at least six months apart, to two differnt questions, point to a fulfillment some 1881 years in the future?

i need a bit of help trying to explain to my wife that the god of the ot was not the same "god is love" of the nt.

she is coming around to the fact that the gb are not the fds however i keep getting the line that god loves everyone and always has.

i will be researching the ot to show her examples of where the god of the ot demanded killing and forced slavery etc.

Snowbird, thank you for your contribution, I appreciate it. I understand that different times may need responses however I am troubled by the differences between the actions of the same god over time. For others (and snowbird) please continue your input. It may well make a large difference in helping my wife see the truth about "the truth"
