So in the whole world, during 1914 – 1919, Jesus and Jehovah inspected all the Christian based peoples and found only a small group of Bible Students in Allegheny, PA, USA whose hearts were with Jehovah and his Word. In the whole world? And this small group needed some cleansing but just happened to be the printers of a magazine where they could print this claim about themselves. And they knew Jehovah business and they could speak for Jehovah that he had not chosen anyone else in the whole world, just themselves.
Haha. So true.

Welcome! Take your time. Be patient. One of the important things to realize is that you have all the time in the world. There is no sudden end just around the corner. Best wishes to you.

Why would he use them under inspiration to copy accurately in a way we could guarantee gives us the literal word of god? Why would he use them via the Holy Spirit to choose the true inspired books written under inspiration as if by gods own hand? But, then he couldn't keep his name in the bible. EVERYTHING else is true! 100% certainty. He just couldn't keep his name in there.

by The Searcher ini am genuinely in the dark on this one; .
can someone with experience of this explain to me what a "scriptural divorce" is?
i have always believed what christ said was the only basis for divorce.

Outsmartthesystem, that is really crazy. I never thought about that before. It's a real break in logic and common sense. Also, no one with a brain even in the Borg could imagine god wanting that. A sin to then earn more privileges. Wow.

Could my wife be awakening???
by nolongerconfused inso i have followed all of your advise as far as not talking religion, just showing love etc.... she has missed the last 3 meetings and i have not said anything like "are you going?
" etc.... she's a born in/active and our relationship has gotten so much better after i faded completely...no guilt trip/pressure about preparing for meetings as a family, service, etc.... tuesday was a huge sign for me...she has meetings tuesday nights and she was planning on going, but, her coworker called her offering 2 tickets to go see our local baseball mlb team and guess what?....she told me lets go!!!
i was like wtf?...in my mind i was like wow, you're gonna miss your 3rd meeting in a row!

What do you believe about the bible?
by bethelyellowdollarbag ini'm interested in how we all view the bible?.
let me start by offering three different options:.
a.. a book that at best may have cultural or historical interest but that is it.. b.. a divinely inspired guide that i consult to make important life choices.

July 15 WT- When a Parable is a Prophecy Then a Parable All At Once
by Comatose innotice the explanation from the box on page 24. the parable they say is a prophecy is here confirmed to just be a parable regarding the evil slave.
how can a prophetic parable to be taken literally revert to a parable on an inconvenient part?
it's the same parable!!!!.

It's so annoying that most will eat this up hungrily and not see the irony of declaring one part of a "prophecy" a parable, when the whole thing was a parable.
