this guy was into music in an almost unhealthy fashion which was the one thing we really had in common.
he died in 2008 and when he passed his wife said he wanted me to have all of his old music.

About 5 years ago an older friend of mine passed away. This guy was into music in an almost unhealthy fashion which was the one thing we really had in common. He died in 2008 and when he passed his wife said he wanted me to have all of his old music. I had no idea what that entailed. He had an actual ROOM full of old records as well as 8 tracks and a few actual reels of recordings. He literally had every single song Al Green wrote... he was obsessed with Al Green and Curtis Mayfield. I considewr this stuff very special and some of it I have been told is very rare. He even purchased an original studio recording although incomplete of a Curtis Mayfield track called "If There is Hell Below" (great song by the way).
I have spent a large portion of the last 4 years or so actually transferring alot of this music to my computer so I can preserve it without the risk of damage. I have however run into a wall because I have no way to get the music off of these 8 tracks. Granted I have not spent a whole heap of time looking but I am wondering if anyone has ever done a transfer from 8 track to another format in recent history? I have about 3 large boxes of these things and have no idea how to get the music off of them. Alot of it is amazing stuff that I want to listen to and be able to share.
Anyone that can provide helpful information I am willing to pay you with all the music you can handle LOL. Literally there is nothing that I do not have here. However there are some special items I may want to keep for my own listening pleasure LOL. (Marvin Gaye Where are we going performed live in a studio amaaaaaaaazing)

It is funny that if two men fighting each other and one falls back and bumps a woman and she miscarries the man should die but God just runs around killing babies because of what their father did and it is ok. We are in God's "image" but God's morality is repugnant
by yadda yadda 2 inthe bible says in genesis that god made human beings in his "image".. this means that christians believe human beings were made with certain attributes that they share with god.

1. funny how some athiest feel that believing in the god of the bible is the real crime(as if the knockout game is a fake crime) - Believing in the bible has caused far more trouble and death than the knockout game ever has.
2. and its no wonder you hardly ever see an athiest protest abortion, the only thing some of these athiest protest is god - you rarely see athiest protest abortion because they have sense enough to realize that a right to choose is there for a reason. So a mother should die during pregnancy and possibly the child because of a stupid law that god himself breaks in the friggin bible. God performed a fair number of abortions himself. You are ready to argue against abortion yet you want to murder the kids playing the knockout game... but then again if they accept Jesus you dont want them die just like how God wants to kill canaanites buut not if they decide to worship him. GREEEEAT

However, many do because you input your bible Gods thoughts and reasonings into the thread or you decide to abandon your bibles Gods thougyts that you say are so holy for the sake of justifying your own desires like killing everyone whoever played the knockout game. I bet if your child played the knoclout game without your knowledge and some asshat says he should get the death penalty you would change your tune.

6. start a thread about baking pies and i start saying ,unicorns or fake and people who believe in them are illogical. kinda silly aint it? It would be. However when you are talking about murdering people for crimes that do not warrant murder according to the modern legal system that is far more illogical isn't it.
