Im thinking 20 -25 minutes. When you look at the pictures it is amazing to see just how far from everything they actually were.
I think that is really what makes me so upset, THey were obviously avoiding talking to anyone.

they play 3 football games of various age groups.
it starts at 8 in the morning and just ended at 1:30. i just got in the house literally 5 minutes ago and i had to share.

Why did God wait so long to have a special people?
by truthseeker ini was thinking the other day, why did it take so long for god to have a special people, namely the nation of israel.. and when he did choose his people, it's as if god ignored every other culture and nation on earth only to focus on abraham, isaac and there descendants.. there was no way of learning about the one true god in those days unless you lived near the borders of the israelite nation.. if you read the minor prophet books of the bible, it seems as if god is addressing the whole world, when in reality, people living in other countries at the time would have no idea of these "universal proclamations".
why did god not give guidance to these other societies?.

Troubling isn't it.
I so wanted to believe that the BIBLE was from GOD and I so wanted to believe that a GOD cares about everyone - but things just dont add up for me anymore. I forced my self to accept the hodge podge of reasons that god is in the right for having babies thrown on rocks and busted open or for having parents hit their disrespectful children in the head with rocks for being bad but It just doesn't work anymore.
I was just being dishoest with myself because I didn't want to believe that I was myseteriously in love with a mass-murdering maniac bible god. Afterall he hates animals to... remember they had to kill all the animals because those cows are really sstrong... they may have learned about false worship from their owners and secretly plot to entice the sex mad israeliete males to abandon having sex with te pre-pubescent girls and start having sex with them instead.
Its these little things that make you realize something aint right

Letting go of Highly Qualified Men
by James Jackson ini have been posting for a few months now and have read the life stories of tech49, confusedandalone, winston smith and other brothers who have held prominent positions in the organization who were dismissed not for any gross sins, but mainly for not keeping their child toeing the line.
they have been "cast aside", nit picked to death, and made to feel unworthy for their years of dedicated service.
even in my case, having my best friends treat me like the plague to jockey for position of recogntion.. is this what the organization is resorting to now?

James Jackson I do feel bad for you. I know your pain. I think the org is really advocating the use of young single elders now more than ever because Men without families (yes, having children with a wife is a family) are much easier too manipulate because they have no clue what it is like to care or nuture someone. When you have kids it humbles you, they don't want humble men because humble men are forgiving, humble men are balanced, humble men try to be fair.
Young single elders in their twenties and early thirties by and large are arrogant sacks of pickles. They pioneer and suppose that everyone else can too, THey are nit picky because they haven't lived long enough to realize what real hardship is.
At the time there was lots of rumbling amongst my young body of elders because my 8 year old at the time was not an Unbaptized Pub... my other child has duisabilities and because he cant sit still and be quiet I was told "If gave off the idea I didn't have control of him". These things were said by the younger men in their twenties and one around my age mid 30''s however he had no kids. THe others who were older felt it had no bearing.
The new wave of elders remind me of the Hitler youth movement. They are trained early to avoid kids and even marriage if possible. A huge deal is made of them and how great they are. THey are giving repsponsibilities far too early and they have a huge sense of self-importance. They will do whatever is told to them because they are the ultimate company men. They are disfellowship happy and they constantly seek to tear others down.
These are the men they want in control for the future... the enforcers who rarely apply wthe words from their bibles but always want to reason over the Pharisaic Laws of the Elders Shepherding the Flock book

These were the exact questions I asked myself on this very board when I joined... exactly the same questions,
Isn't weird that an impartial god totally thumbs his nose at an entire planet full of people and focuses on just this one small group of perople who repeatedly ignored him and followed other nations because he made a promise to their forefathers. Most sane humans wouldnt do that.
As for god giving other people guidance - it would appear that he didnt gvie the israelites very much since they were not the most technically advanced culture of their time. Obvious they were not the most morally advanced either - just ask all those young canaanite preteens that they were allowedd to have sex with. You could also ask those young ladies brothers but he told his people to kill them all.
The bible makes no sense when you try to apply any form of "sense" to it.

It wasnt private. Most of the vendors and the bouncy hjouse... the cotton candy and the petting zoo were all business and they didn't pay to be there. It is a community event. Thhey could have went anywhere they wanted
