  What happens when a legally married....?

  lesbian couple that has a child decides that they want to be one of jehovahs witnesses?

  really think about this for a second.. what will they do then.. option 1: will they tell them that they have to get a divorce and ignore the scriptural counsel of jehovah hating a divorcing?

  will they say that it was never valid anyway in the eyes of jehovah?

  What will they do then.

  Option 1: Will they tell them that they have to get a divorce and ignore the scriptural counsel of Jehovah hating a divorcing? WIll they say that it was never valid anyway in the eyes of Jehovah? Probably - but imagine the impact that it would have in the media. "Watchtower tells homosexual couples they must divorce". What happens to the child... the home and belongings.... etc. it would be insane. Could they go out in service? Imagine a known lesbian couple going out in the ministry, it would be insane to the R&F

  Option 2: They tell them they can stay together but they can not get baptized. To avoid legal trouble. THey would have to tell them that the most important thing is that they are dedicated and hopefully they can still recieve the benefit of the ranson. This presents so many problems though. Now people will reason that they don't have to necessarily get baptized to recieve the benefits of the ransom - this would prevent everyone from getting baptized because now they can avoid all the responsibility and disfellowshipping. LOL

  Option 3: They can get baptized but they can't have any priveledges of services. THey would have it made and never have to worry about the rat race

  hello everyone, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.. i am a mid 30's just stepped aside elder, who just couldn't handle it anymore.. i am a 3rd generation born-in and former pioneer and bethelite.

  it has been a log somewhat confusing ride for me, but i am finally settling in to realizing that i need to really look at what me and my family are doing.. .

  its funny though what really got me here... it wasn't the 40 year old men telling me they were looking at boobies on the computer and hoping not to get in trouble, it wasn't the watching young people bail left and right, it wasn't the ever changing new light etc... but a simple thought.. .

  THe hardest part of all of this for me is my wife... She occasionally will totally agree with me - then on the other side she is so confused about me.

  Truthfully i really dont care about much else except her because she actually trully loves me. I know she is just stuck and afraid to accept those feelings she has are valid.

  Believe it or not, a few days ago I sat down and thought that the point at which I stopped really really thinking everything was ok was when I was at Bethel.

  I saw more racist actions / arrogance / as well as favortism then I had ever seen in my life. I had the most arrogant and phony assistant overseer ever who is now on the writing department. He would sit in his office and read through the dictionary like some kind of convict learning new words then use them all day and tell use how smart he wsa.

  Then any of you who were bethelites will remember the most arrogant guy ever who was actually pretty funny who had the ever famous quote...

  "If you can't remember my name just remember "ALL I SEE I KNOW"... What a stinker

  I have no choice but to stay for now, but it is actually hard to get motivated. Everyone of hte elders now treat me like a fragile piece of glass because I stepped aside. THe constant "is everything ok?" and "are you alright" is getting a little tired now.

  I told one of them that I need a nice vacation to Beth Sarim and he was like, "yeah that would be nice". He had no clue

  I read CoC and I almost threw up from pain when he mentioned the part about thinking that they wanted us to be full-grown adults in the truth. Instead we are spiritual babes... I literally wanted to scream out in pain.

  I remember while at Bethel my first Job was in 30 cleaning and I actually got to interact with most of the GB at the time because I picked up their garbage and I cleaned the bathrooms and vacuumed the areas where they worked. (Mainly Sydlik / Barber / Barr) They were literally some of the coolest most down to earth people I ever met. I wanted to ask one of them that question so bad but I knew I would be struck dead instantly LOL.

  ALthough I do think SYdlik would have had a rather interesting response, he seemed to be a loose canon.

  I must say I have been lurking for a long time. I ooked at my parents who are very old now and they have nothing, but my mom pioneers with awful health problems and my aged dad is an overly stressed elder. I hang on for them because I know me outright leaving would result in a painful few years for them both.

  My wife is really catching on now and everyday she has some form of gripe, but my daughter is always asking me why am i not going to the meeting. That hurts badly... I have missed about 4 in a row and i can tell she is confused.

  The funny thing I noticed however is that my time spent at Bethel was full of people who doubted everything or just didn't give a crap. As I search for them, most are long gone. Or like myself have started to slide and it is alarming. Those Bethel days were so full of confusing times and scary things that always stuck with me and made me always question everything else

  What about the Dinka, the American Indians, the Chinese etc... Not just the fact that we are not reaching them with the message of the bible - but if everyone on the ARK new and worshipped Jehovah why was it when they got off the ARK they just totally said screw that and once again almost the entire earth was ignoring JEHOVAH. WOuldn't that lead to a society similar to the one that was just destroyed with the exception that there were no NEPHELIM?

  Why would Jehovah ignore all these people and just focus on ABraham? But here is the kicker - if you would have been born anywhere in the work outside of Israel you get a free pass to everlasting life. So all those Africans / Asians / Europeans / Aboriginesesesesesesese have no idea who the true god is, they get to live a carefree life in this system and then get resurrected to a PARADISE EARTH were they will live for 1000 years free from any sickness etc and if they stay faithful undre perfect conditions will live forever(who wouldn't believe that this GOD IS RIGHT and adhere to his laws in that setting???)

  On the other hand I worship god faithfully for 10 - 70 years preaching and bam... I watch some gay porn and I die.
