  i counted how many times i've said that today.

  as best i can remember, it's 15 times.. "i'm sorry, i didn't mean to make so much noise.".

  "i'm sorry, i didn't know you were on the phone, i would have stopped playing piano.".

  What is there left to say about a woman who is so sorry about just being alive and inconveniencing people with her presence?

  Oh (((Beryl))) the sad thing is that anyone feels that way at anytime. I can say that because I feel exactly the same way sometimes (and not even being a woman!) Please find the humor in the fact that my second post in your Crisis of Conscience thread started with the word "Sorry" and it was directed to you of course (birds of a feather?). I hope some of the ideas of these wonderfully caring people on this board help and you get to feeling better about yourself!

  Been to one full out fest, one mini-fest and hope to be able to attend the Green Bay fest and it's a 1200 mile trip! If you like to laugh, chat and generally be around people then I'd suggest making your plans to attend one ASAP. It's a blast to meet the folks from here that have spilled their souls out in these pages and see that they're all just regular folks (well with maybe an exception here or there).

  Never know until you go.

  Sorry if I sounded flippant way back up there. I have to remember back to when I first heard of the book and how I kept putting off buying it. But after several months of not wanting to know, I had it in my hands and started reading - could not put it down. Seems like reading this book is a validation that what we believed just wasn't what it was portrayed as. A necessary step along the way though and you will be glad you read it.

  so what's the funniest bit of slapschtick you've seen or heard of witnesess pulling while getting in the time quota?

  There's a reason I asked this question but I can't divulge it just yet If my plan doesn't pan out, well I hope at least there is some interesting reading.

  Nina, I'll bet that was fun! A break in the monotony at least :) I can picture a JWVW bus driving down the highway with snowballgeddon erupting inside.

  House Name Required.

  i want to give my house a name.

  lot's of my neighbours have already done this, so we have a plethora of name boards springing up in my road.

  (actually, i susupect it's a sort of snobbery so that people will know that it's not just another old house full of flats and bedsits but a privately owned whole house).

  i understand many of you are not coming to green bay, or you are coming to green bay and doing something besides being at the party that xenawarrior has worked so hard to arrange for us.

  i also know why and i must tell you i'm terribly disappointed.

  the only chance in months to see many of you, yet this has no meaning whatsoever.

  It is indeed a sad thing to hear this. I had no idea either that there was any trouble. I hadn't planned on making the trip up to GB but I'm going to see about getting enough drive time off to make it. I know a good time is to be had and I'd like to return the favor to those that traveled all the way to Dallas to help make this fest the success that it was. ....how farve is GB from Dallas anyway?

  So, any other DFW area folks driving up to GB?

  I pretty much think like Matty on this one. I try my best to get along with everyone even though I may not see eye to eye with them. I can still be civil. But...I don't think I have a single friend anymore. This past year the few that I had have just gone away quietly. I've done nothing but offer my help to them in any way possible but I guess that means nothing. They would still talk civily to me if I called on them but if I'm the only one making any contact then it's obvious they have no use for me. Life can be pretty bleak sometimes.
