  What do you expect them to engage about with those topics? 607 BCE is when the gentile times started even if Jerusalem was destroyed in 587. The ARC is in the past. Bygones.

  Same with the UN NGO thing. more bygones. It is not bad to be an NGo of the UN.

  i was interested by the suggestion in a recent discussion that rutherford was in some way preferable to fred franz, because i’ve not come across this view before.

  it made me rethink my assumptions and try to work out why i hold the opposite view and prefer fred franz to rutherford.

  i haven’t done any additional research, so i’m only drawing on what i can remember off the top of my head, but i thought i’d list a few things where i reckon fred franz’s approach was preferable to rutherford.

  Of course Fred Franz was behind the blood ban.

  Consider the w64 2/15 p. 127

  "Would it be a violation of the Scriptures for a Christian to permit a veterinarian to give blood transfusions to a pet? And what of animal food? May it be used if there is reason to believe there is blood in it? Also, is it permissible to use fertilizer that has blood in it?"

  That has Fred Franz written all over it.

  I don't agree here. Rutherford read that for the times that he went through. To him at that time, how could the governments be the superior authorities when they were doing evil things to him and the other Bible Students?
  
  Russell was too liberal. Rutherford went the other way and was too conservative. Franz/Knorr put it in balance in the center.

  Why would Franz restore holidays? Franz was a hardliner for obedience too. He was the one responsible for no blood because he thought that obedience was necessary.

  Self control fruits of the spirit. Fat GB seem to lack it

  fruits of the spirit would surely be required to be gb members?

  yet some of them seem to lack self control when it comes to eating.

  br herd, mark sanderson and br jackson in these are all very obese.. if they travel to poor places wearing their rolex watches and gold pinky rings the brothers there will surely wonder why they are so fat.. there are many scriptures talking about not being greedy and not gluttonous for food.. if they were really chosen by god as his channel on earth then why can’t they show the fruits of the spirit and show self control when it comes to being gluttonous?.

  Question for JW's: Is Jesus the Mediator of Your Prayers ?

  praying to god “through the son jesus” has nothing to do with christ as mediator.. do jw's even know what a mediator does?.

  i am in the insurance restoration construction business and have been in mediation many times when a policy holder sues an insurance company for not paying everything they believe is due them under the terms of their policy for property damage.. i am brought in as a technical expert.. in mediation, the plaintiff (policy holder) and the defendant (insurance company) are placed in separate rooms, they do not talk to each other.

  they are separated because the dispute has alienated the one from the other.

  Stephen and John saw Jesus in visions. I doubt you do.

  There is absolutely nothing wrong with the teaching that Jesus is the mediator of the new covenant for the anointed 144,000 only. The problem is when people say 'Jesus is not your mediator' and they leave it a general statement. As HerIam60 said "the one mediator between God and men who gave himself a ransom for all."
  
  He mediates for all through his priestly duties.

  He mediates the new covenant for the anointed only.

  Why is it that people don't understand how he does both differently? I've explained it but the problem is that people just want to put themselves into the new covenant. But God does the electing, not your hopes.
