The link is about the Austria-court case, whereas the other is passing on information from an ex-JW website

Why do many JWs neglect their health conditions?
by navytownroger inmy former bible study conductor has heart problems and very high blood pressure, but doesn't seem concerned about it.
another witness i knew had heart problems but never went to doctors, & eventually dropped dead suddenly.
given that cigarette smoking is a disfellowshipping offense, why aren't jws reprimanded when they otherwise neglect & jeopardize their health?

Did you read this: How disfellowshipped family members should be treated.
by Ianua inin the appendix of the new "keep yourselves in god's love"-book i found the following statements regarding contact to ex-jw-family members:.
what if a relative is disfellowshipped?
in such a case, the close bond between family members can pose a real test of loyalty.

Yesterday, there was a four minute long segment on national news in a a major Norwegian tv channel reporting on a new board aimed at helping ex-witnesses. Apart from an interview with an ex-witness, there was also coverage from the assembly, an interview with a watchtower spokesman and an expert from a mental hospital. The WT spokesperson, being inteviews on the norwegian branch, states that while it was true that spirital relationships should be avoided, each family is free to make their own arrangements. Somewhat of a doublespeak. the important part, however, was that the news was made that a Norwegian forum for helping exiting and ex-witnesses was given coverage. http://tv2nyhetene.no/innenriks/article2036816.ece

A former Big brother winner in Sweden returns to JW. Excerpt from article: _ I have always been a believer. However, I did choose not to live according to Bible principles, said Jessica. After her wedding in 2007, the fuss around Jessica was over, and the formerly talkative girl, quit giving interviews. Now, it is is obvious that the 23- year old once again has got involved with the Jehovah´s witnesses. She lives a quiet life in a Swedish small town... She is doing fine, says her father. This is her own choice. Jessica is still married to Santiago, og and they have a son. According to one of Swedens leading newspapers, she is not preaching the message of the bible on peoples doors. Yes, she has been visiting us, but I was not at home at the time, an informant tells the newspaper. The photo show her and her husband outside the local kingdom hall. She spent parts of her prize money on silicon breasts. http://www.seher.no/php/art.php?id=777212
