  Top STUPID criticisms of the WTS

  there are certainly enough valid criticisms of the wts and the jw religion, but a significant number of often-repeated criticisms of the religion are, imnsho, just ludicruous and serves to take attention away from the real issues.

  significant problems with the wts includes, but are not limited to, the shunning policy, the blood issue and of course the corporate policy of hiding child molestors.. here is a list of criticisms of the wts that i find particularly annoying to see:.

  russell was a freemason (or, even worse, the wts is part of some other large-scale conspiracy like the illuminati).

  Don't get me wrong Jan H, I am most greatful for threads like these that enrich my understanding and feed my intellect but I think it's a little deep for us newbies fresh out of the borg that are still in the "sorting this all out" stage. Kinda scarey even.

  PS: Why is this page (#3) messed up? I have to scroll miles sideways to read most messages.

  Please, whomever knows how to fix this problem please let us know how?!??!?!?! It's driving me nuts.

  I'm with revdrjohnson. After a couple of months doing research on the internet, that was it for me. I remember the moment... I was sitting at my desk here at work and was reading something on Randy's website, after reading the article I started crying and I said to myself "I've been defrauded!". From that moment I could not bring myself to ever return to the KH or go out in service again.

  I did gladly fake a service report for a few months to keep the elders off my back, though.

  six months ago, on december 25th 2001 i discovered the existance of an xjw community and that i was not alone in this universe.

  What an Amazing post!!!

  Six months ago, on December 25th 2001 I discovered the existance of an XJW community and that I was not alone in this universe.

  Me too, in December!!

  I began to experience life for the first time. I had been alive for 29 and a half years then but never experienced the love, joy or peace that life has to offer.

  Me toooo!

  Six months ago today, I truly left the JW cult. Its been a rocky up and down journey I cant lie but thanks to this community and others I have tasted life for the first time and it is good.

  Didn't realize we had a similar story flower, no wonder I automatically felt a bond of friendship with you.[ ;) ]

  Wishing the best to all those who live and suffer with JW spouses and families.

  this has nothing to do with jw's whatsoever, and it is totally personal, so here goes.... i went over to my ex girlfriend's house to pick up my mail.

  (i moved out and some of my mail still goes there even though i put in a change of address form.

  ) we had gotten in a fight the night before.

  the problem with going house to house is that instead of "seeking out those who are worthy" as directed, holy things are given to dogs and they attack people with it, and so on.

  after, we were again allowed into the building no.

  one without a lapel card was allowed in without being thoroughly.

  Everything was done so orderly, calmly, smoothly
  that the city police couldn't believe their eyes. In just over 12 minutes we
  evacuated 8600 people. The police said it was the quickest, most orderly,
  calmest emptying of the premises they had EVER seen. Certainly a good
  witness, wasn't it?
  You could actually feel a calm fall over the crowd, as if Jehovah's hand
  were protecting us. No one panicked, no one walked quickly. And we waited
  patiently outside in the scorching sun until they told us we could go back
  inside.

  Ok Drama Queen can you say "exaggeration"?? Gag, puke UGH!!!
