  Barbara Anderson Disfellowshipped

  as of 1 pm today barb anderson was notified that she has been disfellowshipped in writing by the judicial committee in her congregation.

  barb was df in absentia at a second hearing that was declared after she successfully defended herself against charges in the first hearing.

  home office came back with further instructions to make it stick the second time around.

  john larson must have done some research on the jw's obviously.. in the intro part of the dateline segment, i noticed he was pretty blunt.. he said:.

  "anyone from outside the church, most of you watching tonight, are considered part of satan's world which will be destroyed by jehovah god".. notice that he said "jehovah god", commonly used by dubs but not normally by anyone else.. also he included all the "hot button" rules sure to catch the attention of "worldly people": birthdays, christmas, blood transfusions, and military service.. nice work, john!

  I almost busted out laughing cause I saw her yawn but since I was watching it with my husband and his sister, I didn't want to take away from the seriousness of the whole thing so I just covered my mouth.

  i personally thought the woman with the tatoos and piercings was bad and sexy.

  I felt bad for her. She said the abuse caused her to feel like she needed to self mutilate herself, so that no man would ever be attracted to her. I can't begin to imagine her pain.

  there was a lot to like about the dateline but i think my favorite part was after they had shown the taped interview with ole junior brown, and asked for erica's response.

  jr's had been long windy, legalistic and insincere.

  in a gut reaction she shook her head and said one word with real emotion, "liars.

  My favorite part was when Dateline asked the society to prove that they are as hard on cracking down on pedophiles as they say they are.

  It took them 6 months to reply and when they finally did they could only come up with 2 cases! Count them 2! One of which the pedophile was not a JW!!!

  That was just perfect!!!

  The recording of Bill calling Bethel for advice on a pedophile issue was priceless too.

  i called my mom after the dateline show, she said they had a talk about that at the meeting that night!

  then she said the speaker brougt out scriptures rev 12:9 and 12:12, can you believe that!

  i have no idea what those scriptures say, haven't owned a bible in twenty plus years, but i'm sure it doesn't say " don't believe that evil dateline show, it's all lies"!

  tuesday's dateline will deal with the child abuse charges against the witnesses in pa., the one that was in a dallas morning news story a week or so ago.

  however, in sundays closing talk at terrell, bro.

  strahly said " keep in mind , these are apostates and that christians would want to avoid viewing that program.

  If they made an announcement it was to the English congregations only. My husband goes to a Spanish congregation and he told me there was no announcement made. I asked his sister to watch the show and she agreed to watch it with my husband and I. I know if they had made an announcement, she would not have agreed to watch it.

  I'm with ARoarer on this one. No one has come up with a cure for Pedophiles yet. Any pedophile in prison can tell you that if they let him/her go, he/she will continue to do it.

  It doesn't matter how repentant they are, they will continue to molest children because it is a need they have. Just as it is a human need to have sex, they have a need to have sex with children. Something has gone wrong in their brain function and there is no cure for it yet. They look for ways to access children and the JW religion creates a perfect environment for them. The JW religion didn't do this purposely but they should now be aware that their rules create the perfect breeding ground for perpetrators and a child molester should be kept out of the congregation permanently.

  Truly repentant child molester now in prison beg to be kept behind bars because they don't want to repeat their actions but know that if let back into the world, they will once again molest children.

  The only place for a pedophile is behind bars until science finds a cure.
