by lancelink inthis afternoon i drove by an old hall i attended ( barrington illinois) and noticed that it had been sold, it is now an adventist .
church !
now here is my drive-home thinking.. back in the 80's when i attended i was newly married, and had a young child.

Religion is a snare and a racket .....Follow the money .
If Jesus Christ ever really did exist ....did he ever ask for contributions...money ? Collection plates... money ?...tithes ...money ?
Why is it religions whatever the denominations always need ,want more money ?
God can`t ...or won`t provide ?
Think about it .

by enoughisenough ini was trying to think of some common jw words and phrases i don't think are in the bible .. new world order new system spiritual israel governing body channel of communication organization reporting time pioneer aux pioneer circuit overseer kingdom hall circuit assembly district convention....,maybe you can think of something to add if you are inclined..

by enoughisenough inhave the rank and file been told not to "gossip", or "question" about mr morris yet?
i am mindful of how questioning decisions was discouraged and being told to keep things confidential.
( maybe too soon, but do share if a special needs part comes up) you would think that common sense would tell them they cause the questions when they don't share reasons.

"keep traveling on the "way of holiness".
this article states that since 1919, having left babylon the great in that year, jws today are traveling on 'the way of holiness" (a figurative highway) as it takes them through the spiritual paradise and leads them through to future kingdom blessings.. they say that 'preparatory work' of that highway began centuries earlier.

Isn`t the very name JEHOVAH in error ? Isn`t it more correct to say that the pronunciation of God`s name is more likely YAHWEH or even YEHOWAH or some such thing ?
Certainly not JEHOVAH.
You would think that those who proclaim to be his witnesses would get the pronunciation of his name correct wouldn`t you ?

Let me explain if I can ,I didn`t become a JW until my very late teens 19 and more likely close to 20.
So I had a reasonable life outside of the influence of the religion before I got hooked.
Even though I was in it for the best part of 30 plus years before I left ,I consider apart from the religion I have had a pretty good life .
I have probably been out now for over 20 years ,and even in it we had a reasonable good life style overall.
I know this hasn`t been the case with many of you people.
If you care to share some of your experiences I`m sure many of us would like to hear it .
My first couple of Congs.were in Melb.Aust. and were very conservative ,not much joy their.
Having moved to S.E.Qld the congs.their were much more liberal and we fitted in quite well, going out for meals at resturants having a few ales along the way and going to each others house for get togethers etc ,
And after leaving the religion I have made many friends at the few clubs i go to for socialising and having a couple of ales.,a few times a week .
I will be 84 this year and i`m not looking forward to dying anytime soon ,how about you ?
