jehovah's witnesses have had to revise their chronology and various doctrinal interpretations due to events and scholarly corrections.

but the one teaching where they have been consistently ahead of the curve is the importance of jehovah's name.. .

i'm going to run through a (necessarily selective) timeline of jw events and scholarly publications that demonstrate the phenomenal success of this teaching in the last days.

I was impressed by part of today's symposium entitled ' Safeguard your children from what is evil'

well i have to give credit where credit is due.

it was the part of today's symposium - build a house that will endure.

the part i was most impressed with was 'safeguard your children from "what is evil".

The Botchtower will still fight for every penny in every lawsuit brought against them.

And fight tooth and nail against justice for children.

Its sugar coated words to help keep questioning parents IN, who otherwise might have left.

I'm far from impressed.

the jws are so duplicit, and they rename things to somehow justify their own irrationalities.

Ask first wether this god or a son really exists. When you can prove that as a fact, then give him your worship.

I didnt mind Glenn and Sally, a bit black and white thinking, and a company man through and through, but quite a likeable fellow. I remember his liking for really high waisted trousers.

I remember as a teenager hearing that Glenn Macfarlane had disbanded a cong and sacked some of the elders. What was that all about? Wasnt he ill because of all the fuss afterwards?
