Taking my Lawyer to a Judicial Committee.

does anyone know if i can take my lawyer to a judicial committee?.

My husband gave a letter to the elders & in it he told them not to call him anymore, and that any further communication must be in writing to him or to a lawyer. He said he would attend the JCM only if his lawyer could be present. That, he must have in writing the charges against him, as well as a list of the people that were to testify against him. That night an elder on the committee and another on the phone listening in (2 witnesses)called to see if he would meet with the JC the following night. He asked him if they had read his letter and they said yes. The next night HIS JC meeting was held without him. They, then, called him to inform him that they disfellowshipped him on the grounds of 'APOSTACY'. But, they did tell him he could appeal should he want too. WHAT A JOKE!

They are sooooooo funny.

Here's a joke: Question: Why do men have a hole in their penis?
Answer: So they can get oxygen to their brain!!!!

I guess these guys must have had their holes plugged or just tied off. What other reason could there be? HA HA HA!

Venice, I haven't read Parousia yet, but my husband is reading it right now. He loves it. Beyond End Times, by John Noe is a good one to start with. He also, wrote Dead in Their Tracts, very good reading.
I'm so glad I had thses to read. It makes a lot of since.

Try these also: Before Jerusalem Fell and Perilous Times, both by Kenneth Gentry. Matthew Twenty-Four Fulfilled, by John Bray.

Hope these hel, they sure cleared up a lot of things for me.

hello bill, i have been thinking about one great method to make public awareness of child molestation and rape in the organization to explode like an 80 megaton hydrogen bomb!.

hollywood studios have an obsession with crime movies that chronicle the lives of the abused, and those like you, bill, who make a major difference in protecting them.. there are two kinds of movie themes, the documentary and "docu-drama.

Mulan, you are so right. Hopkins does play sinister roles exceptionally well, so I'm sure he could still land a major role. What do you think about my idea of the SEX & the City gals portraying JW sisters. Could you see them going to the meetings, out in service, doing Bible studies with the JWs, so they could get they could get the feel of their roles. Wouldn't that be a hoot & a holler? More popcorn please.

Are you really ready for big moral issues?

while reading the abortion thread on this site today, i was reminded of a college class i took on dealing with ethical and moral issues.

i learned something interesting in this class and it was that just because we have strong beliefs about something, it doesn't give us any rights to impose our beliefs on others.. this is of course the "christian" way...to demand that their beliefs should be the standard by which we all live our lives.

this intolerance, or in milder cases disgust for nonconformers, is in itself one of the huge moral issues we face.. essentially, regardless of things being right or wrong, our world defines societal norms by community standards.

The JW life raft. Been ther done that.

The entire elder body (5), appeal committe (3) my husband and myself (2). That makes 10. The decission was easy. They threw us out to drown in the deep dark waters of satan and his demons.

The sad results for them.......................WE SURVIVED.

Dealing with Shunners

it was kind of fun yesterday when i was in line at the local coffee house.

a "sister" came up and stood in line right next to me.

now, my ex is df'd and i am probably "bad association", but technically they should not shun me because i never got dunked.

I DO AS THE SOIETY ALWAYS SUGGEST 'ALWAYS USE THE 'YES' FACE'. IT HAS ALWAYS COME NATURALLY WITH ME. HOWEVER, IT HAS ALWAYS WORKED FOR ME WHEN AT THE DOOR OR WHENEVER I WAS WITNESSING. APROX. 8 MONTHS AFTER MY DFING I SAW ONE OF THE ELDERS WHO DFD ME IN THE LOCAL LIQUOIR STORE. I WAS ONLY 2 OR 3 FEET FROM HIM, LOOKED AT HIM WITH MY GREAT BIG PEARLY WHITES AND JUST SHOOK MY HEAD. HE LOOKED AT ME AS IF HE SAW A SEMI GETTING READY TO RUN HIM DOWN. I COULDN'T CONTROL MYSELF, I STARTED LAUGHING AND COULDN'T STOP. MY HUSBAND SAW HIM FIRST, BUT WAS IN ANOTHER ROW AND WAS SO CONCERNED FOR ME BECAUSE HE DID NOT KNOW HOW THIS MAN WOULD TREAT ME. MY HUSBAND SAW THE LITTLE MAN'S FACE AS HE WAS LEAVING WHERE I WAS. THE LITTLE MAN'S FACE WAS COMLPTETELY WHITE (SO WHITE HE LOOKED LIKE HE NEEDED A BLOOD TRANSFUSION) AND HE HAD THAT LOOK LIKE I JUST CRAPED IN MY PANTS. IT'S THERAPY LIKE THIS THAT REALLY WORKS.

THE NEXT DAY MY HUSBAND AND MY DAUGHTER (13)WERE IN THE MALL AND GUESS WHO WAS THERE? YOU GOT IT. IT WAS THIS SAME LITTLE ELDER. THEY SAW EACH OTHER ABOUT THE SAME TIME. THE LITTLE ELDER DID AN ABOUT FACE AND HE DID THE ELVIS THING..........HE LEFT THE BUILDING.

FUNNY...IT'S NOT THAT HE WAS SHUNNING US...HE JUST COULDN'T HANDLE IT.
MY MOTTO IS THIS...YOU CAN SHUN ME, BUT I WON'T SHUN YOU. HE EVEN MADE A COMMENT TO SOMEONE ABOUT SEEING US TWICE IN 2 DAYS AFTER 8 MONTHS. I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN LEAVE MY HOUSE ANYMORE, I JUST CAN'T BEAR SEEING THEM ANYMORE. SEE, IF WE ALL START TREATING THEM LIKE I DO THEN MAYBE THEY'LL ALL STAY HOME! SOUNDS GOOD TO ME WHAT ABOUT YOU GUYS?
