I personally don't see any disrepect and am totally into the discussion. There have been a ton of threads like this and although the persons discussing never change their viewpoints, others reading it can sure be enlightened, like I was many years ago.

" ...but did you know that God has a name? A personal name?" Nine Billion of them.
by Duncan inthis post - and i warn you now, its a longish essay - is going to be all about names.
but to get started, a little quiz: - what do the following all have in common?.
mount fuji, the river avon, the sahara desert, lake niassa.. .

LURKERS: Is JW the only true religion? Here is my personal research!
by mentallyfree31 inare jehovah's witnesses the only religion teaching the truth?.
the statement that only jehovah's witnesses are teaching the truth is an extraordinary claim.
such a claim would require extraordinary evidence.

God: the central question
by ixthis inof all the issues affecting every person's picture of reality, nothing is more fundamental than questions about god.. is there one god, creator and sovereign of all?could there be more than one god?
or no god at all?if there is a god (or gods), then what is that god (or gods) like?nothing determines your worldview-and the course of your life-more than how you answer those questions.
yet some atheists like to make light of the god question.

Harold Camping's Kingdom Hall
by moshe inthe jw/wt doctrinal failures/coverups are already being compared to harold camping's failed endtimes predictions!
any news stories that have a camping-jw-wt tie up please post here!
please try and cut/paste the link and the story, so that in a year or two when the links go dead, we will still have the article for our archives.

I sent 2 of those articles to a JW friend, pointing out that they made mistakes regarding Russell, and asked if he could identify them. Haven't got any response as of yet and I doubt I will. There are few JW's that actually know the history. Or care.

The similarities are sure there. Thanks for the posts.
But did those first 2 articles get the facts straight about Russell? My understanding is that he said the Jesus returned in 1874 and that 1914 would mark the end.

Just looked over an old post of mine...........
by watersprout inand i started to read it.
it was the one where i openly wrote that i ''hear''.... i couldn't read it all, because as i reading it was causing chest pains.
think it was taking me back and i was reminded how certain ones hurt me with the things they said.

I'm glad you brought that thread up. I personally thought that was a good one. Obviously you didn't like the results. I hope you can understand this, but I have thought it strange that only a couple people in the whole world were spoken to by Jeheshua Mischajah, and then when you made this post on a more recent thread about memorial time it was very telling to me. The first quote are Shelby's words:
The second is done by heeding our Lord's words about leaving one's gift at the altar while going to make peace with one's brother.
By making peace how?? By doing what?? I think i'm doing it right then i get it all wrong! *sigh*
Those words indicate to me that you are somehow following Shelby, which makes sense since you are the only ones using that name for your "lord".

I am just stating an opinion. Whether any of you agree with me really doesn't matter, I don't claim to be an expert, I am not looking to write a book about it or start a website. It's just a freakin opinion.
You guys seem to want to pick my opinion apart, but don't address my questions. Doesn't it seem odd to any of you how these events played out? I don't deny the moon landings or the holocaust. Why should I? Neither of these played out with events that I consider to be questionable, especially the holocaust. Things with Bin Ladin could very well have happened just like they say, but the story just seems odd to my skeptical side.
Does my frame of reference regarding dna come from watching TV? Probably, but not from some crime drama. More likely from a based on fact documentary. Doing a quick google, it seems I am not the only one asking that question regarding dna. I would like to know where these tests were conducted. Seems to me a sophisticated laboratory is needed.
And doesn't dumping his body so quickly not seem odd to you guys?
BTW Cheezits, you are right about ol Clint. But FYI, I have been told that I look like him more times in my life than I can count.
