Exactly. He wants to focus on whether it's really that bad that he 'spent some time with sex workers.' Most people think it's awful that he cheated on his spouse and can't seem to bring himself to even appear to be remorseful.

I'm Not Saying Americans are Stupid
by Simon inbut maybe they over-value their own abilities.
c'mon, imagining you could fight a gorilla, lion, elephant, or bear with your bare hands?!?.
this could be an amazing new reality tv show though ... "ok, bubba, you've just beaten a dog ... now for $16,000 do you want to fight a chimpanzee?

It was good enough for C.T. Russell.....
by BoogerMan in....but not for jw's!.
w70 4/15 p. 250 -"in 1870 charles taze russell...was not satisfied with the sectarian [jw's are sectarian] explanations of the bible given him, so he started a bible-study class with several of his friends....".
km 9/07 p. 3 question box - "does “the faithful and discreet slave” endorse independent groups of witnesses who meet together to engage in scriptural research or debate?

That has been the view of the WTS for decades now. If you are not a JW, they encourage you to question your religious leaders and beliefs because the truth will always shine through. If you are a JW, they strongly discourage questioning anything or trying study on your own, because truth only belongs to the GB. Many of their statements about searching for truth are contradictory like that. Question everything until you become a JW, then question nothing... or else.

Simon: It's still staggering that someone who relied on his online reputation for 100% of his income had so little regard for it
I think it's a lack of self-awareness. He really isn't capable of seeing things from the point of view of someone outside of his situation. His hard-charging, take-no-prisoners style of operating can work over a short period of time, and it did for him. He grew his channel and protected it by going after anyone who criticized him, and he was relentless. And he also alienated people who were on his side because he demands unconditional support. So, when he finally stumbled badly, he lacked a support network- the people who could have helped him were on the other side of all of those burned bridges.
Even now, he won't give an inch and continues to turn on people who supported him. You have to wonder how many of the ones that are left -the real diehard supporters- will end up in his doghouse because they couldn't keep navigating the minefield that is his massive and fragile ego.

Thisismein1972: He says he dreams of leaving Twitter. Well why dream when all he has to do is hit that deactivate account button.
Just like his relationship with his penis, he has yet to master the "log out" function.

Twitter is where people spend all day talking past each other.
I'm sure there are people who use it productively, but for so many people it's a battleground. That has to be mentally and emotionally exhausting after a while. I don't have the wherewithal to keep up with it.

1. I would start saving every bit of money that I could, instead of spending it all.
2. I would develop my art and writing skills early, and seek to do that as a career. (I came close to entering the field of comic book art, but there were too many hurdles for a JW to overcome to work in that field, so I gave it up. Still regret it to some degree.)
3. Once the opportunity came, I'd start investing all of the cash I managed to save.
4. Once I was financially secure, start to enjoy my good fortune... responsibly. I'd move out of the city and to a quiet suburb in the Midwest, and enjoy the nicer people and the serene environments.
I've sort of done those things over the past ~15 years or so, and have mapped out a retirement path that hopefully works out. I just wish I'd started early. Can't do that when you're prepping for the end of the world, though.

Virgin or whore complex that Witnesses have made my married life difficult!
by Witness 007 inso was a virgin when i got married but my wife studied later in life and had been married for 6 months and had two boyfriends in her past.
my strict witness mother hated my wife and thought she was not good enough for me.
she thought all worldly women were dirty whores who cannot keep their vaginas to themselves.

Honestly, if a CO had started talking about oral sex from the stage, my friends and I would have been paying extra careful attention. It's as close to porn as I would've ever gotten before I left the JWs.

Those tweets are a perfect microcosm of who he is: accuse people of something that he has done often himself. And I think he doesn't really recognize it. His filters just do not work. "Gaslighting is what narcissists do," says the guy who spends all day gaslighting people.
This is why he'll keep racing towards the wall. He rationalizes everything he does while pointing fingers at everyone else. He will not even try to look at his actions in the light of his own standards for everyone else. So when he says something so hypocritical, he really doesn't think he's missing the point.
