  No I'm not feeling murderous,(well maybe).I just don't get the chance to debate JW issues with any witnesses, and believe I'm starting to forget a lot of the little details andpoints that and weight to an aurgument(607 , blood ,etc).Without JW teachings being at the for front of my mind and being totally relegated to background noise in my head, I hope I will still be up to the challenge when the meeting of Sleepy and JW occurs.

  What do they believe now......Chikens rule the world..

  Anyway send on those witnesses .

  Do you miss being part of something big?

  at one time i was one of "gods chosen people", part of a special group of people who had exclusive access to hidden truths about the earth and its people.. now of cource i realise i'm just like everyone else and all the puzzles are still there.. kind of miss that feeling sometimes..

  Any scientific theories on why humans suffer from self delusion?

  i would have to say that in my experience , all humans suffer from a certain level of self delusion.hey its normal.from the man who will never admit he's wrong, the croaky singer who thinks she's a opera star , the "model" with the looks of the back end of a pig, and jw's who are the only true religion.. so do we have an in built self delusion programe?is it helpful in anyway to delude overslves as to our weeknesses?.

  maybe being constantly aware of all our faults would be too much for us to handle,causing us to go bananas.our brain may need to introduce a level of stability in our lives and wont let us be "weak'nd" by discovering we belive a false piece of information our idea about ourself that if revealed to the conscious mind could causes severe disruption to our lives.prehaps pride is the bodies weapon against stress caused by negative truths.. any thoughts?

  Need some chearing up by the way, the sale of my house fell through this morning boo hoo.I just had to lie to my wife about it as she phoned up at lunch time to find out how things were going and I didn't what to tell her while she was in work as she wont take the news well.

  How Do The French Feel About Us?

  earlier this week, british cemetries in northern france were vandalised by persons objecting to the war in iraq.. .

  a uk newspaper carried this report:.

  the showpiece cenotaph at the graveyard in northern france was smeared in red paint with the words: dig up your rubbish.

  Difficult to generalise about an entire nation, in fact you can't.

  My wife is french and I am in France every other month so believe I can least have a measure of objectivity on the subject.

  The vandalism of war graves is about as much a sign of French attitudes as the daubing of Swastikas on a Jewish grave in Britian would be of the British frame of mind.

  As to the French peoples general dislike of America to a degree that could be true , but this has to do with the protection of France cultural heritage which is very strong.They dislike the idea of infereir products , foods ,films and such things taking over from the higher quality than is readily available in their own country.Unlike Britian there are far fewer chain stores , fast food outlets and such things.They see these (rightly in my mind) as a dumbing down of society and see America as the biggest offender in this regard.

  Of cource there are many other factors involved and within france many different ideas and tastes.They dont hate America they just dont want to BE American.

  Witness's run from Sleepy

  there i was happily cleaning widows,( which by the way is a highly skilled job that you have to go to oxford to learn )getting that shine just right when a pair of witness's came into the cul-de-sac i was working in.the first two didn't seam to notice me , but then came from round the corner a couple more eager beavers.

  (as a side note , they all had typical witness raincoats on even though the sun was blasting it warmth over the street,maybe it was a who can look like the dirtiest pervert comp.).

  well i could see them in the reflection of my newly shinned window.they stopped dead in their tracks as a delema had now hit them.they didn't seam to know what to do ,sleepy was cleaning the windows of the house they were about to call on.before long a little group had gathered on the corner who didn't seam to want to go into the cul-de-sac.do i smell?am i a murderer?were my shorts out of fashion?.

  What is the worst thing about leaving?

  everyone probably has a slightly different experience when leaving the witnesses.the worst aspect about this for me is the realisation that my enteire life has been lived and directed by a false premiss, and the effect past decisions now have on my life.. it can make me feel sick in the stomach on occation.. also the idea that friends and family think i have tuned bad or evil to have left jehovah is qute disturbing at times.
