Just been doing some reading on predictions for the future based on current scentific research.
Seems its just possible that cures for cancers, hereditary dieaseses, even ageing may not be too far off.But they are probably far enough off that our generation could miss out.
Its breath taking to think that we could possibly be the last generation of humans to suffer from major illnesses and early death.
I just that some of this happens in my life time .Wont hold my breath though.
Sigh....
when has anything ever been promised that turned out like we wished?
No paradise earth, no cure for cancer, nothing but half steps and better painkillers.

If you DO hold your breath than you surely won't live to see it happen.... they told me when I was 12 yrs old I would be the first to be cured of Lupus. I am 41 now and the whole AIDS thing sidelined all the Lupus research, they know nothing more than they did 30 yrs ago. I know I am going to die from it. I have seen three friends die of it. and I am at the critical age where the only treatment is as dangerous as the disease.
