What JWs don't know they believe

in a post this morning, i suggested that a way to wake up fellow congregants is to plainly comment or make talks on teachings and rules the jws don't really know too well.

the idea is that you can say these things, other jws will be bothered by the comments, but will not be able to do anything about it as this is the official teaching or stand on this or that.

the key here is that when troubling rules and teachings are thought in the watchtower, they generally use wording that makes them go down easy.

How does that wake up anyone? Nothing wrong with those teachings. R 350:

as you lead a simpleton witness along in the reasoning: the sealed 144k come out of the 12 tribes, and the 12 tribes must be the "Israel of God " in the new covenant for forgiveness of sins, it will dawn on them, that

Jesus fed the bread to people not anointed, with an earthly hope. (Act 1:7)

there is plenty wrong with those teachings, and exposing the emptiness of wt doctrines, ,one point, one step at a time, is a great method.

spiritual Israel is not the earthly class. The earthly class is the spiritual gentiles.

R: Wt wrote, (dont have the reference) that the 12 tribes of israel, are all those, that are not of the 144 000. Math. 18:29: " you will judge the 12 tribes of Israel"
Rev. 7: [12] x " 12 000 sealed out of the tribe of Joseph"

The 12 tribes are not the 144 000, the 12 are obviously are a bigger entity. the wt "earthly class"

Congratulations: You coined a new phrase: "spiritual gentiles" if the term was in the bible, would we call them "the gentiles of god"?

Jesus is the mediator of the new covenant between Jehovah God and the anointed Christians numbering 144,000. No argument there.

R: yes there is, because 1) the new covenant is for forgiveness of sins, and not the kingdom, 2) the old covenant was for with all of Israel, not just the line of David or the Levites. the new covenant follows that pattern. so:

the 12 tribes of the "israel of god" aka 'spiritual Israel' is the earthly class.

Have JEHOVAH ever supported WARS between his WORSHIPPERS?

jehovah's witnesses used to state other christian denominations go to war and in fact that their religious leaders bless such wars.

they see this as one reason why all other christian denominations are not true christians since they kill one another at war and therefore they don't love one another as stated by jesus in john 13: 34,35.. for example when a roman catholic go to war, he/she is bound to kill a fellow roman catholic in the cause of the war.

therefore roman catholic can't be true christians since its member don't love one another and kill one another at war and as such god cannot be in support of such wars where his worshippers kill one another.. the question that comes for consideration is, has jehovah ever supported wars between his own worshippers?.

swtte: yeah, like "righteous" Lot, who tried the same 'using his daughters as a human shield' ploy , trying to hand them over to the potential abusers.

In other words, where is the purity loving creator when we need him. making all the wt comments about j-based protection empty promises.

it most likely meant those faithfully serving as ministers/preachers teaching within individual congregations of Christianity,

DJ: that understanding comes close to what wt taught in old light, about the "slave" being christians as a class, or when they acted as teachers. (while at the time maintaining an absolute monopoly on the pulpit)

I thought it was an encouragement to do all kinds of good deeds, not only "spiritually", as is of course in the order to do humanitarian works in the parable of the sheep and goats, allways, not just in the "end times" btw.

Isn't the claim of saying "I am he" about claiming to be the Messiah/Christ, not "the faithful and discreet slave"?

DJ, for all practical purposes, JC was the Faithful and Discreet Slave during the 3 1/2 years of his ministry. but only one of many competing teachers.

The wt leadership claims that same role. Their "enthroned king of 1914", has done nothing but rule through them.

basically what happened is my mom was studying with my 9 year old sibling and they were talking about the paradise.

my sibling then proceeded to ask, in a clearly joking way, "what if jehovah was tricking us and we don't go to paradise?
