This was prior to the Lord's supper, but he still partook.
Aroq: --which proves that partaking, and potentially aspiring to become part of the anointed does not guarantee a good outcome, or gives you a sterling personality. Judas never became one of the anointed nor of the GC.
Nobody of that first century non-overlapping generation could be part of the Great Crowd, which comes "out of the Great Tribulation" that is scheduled to happen " in the Lord's day", not later than 2075. Judas too had an earthly hope, squirreled away money to be comfortable when it was supposed to happen,-- in his lifetime.

Eyeuse2badub, blondi, thank you for touching that issue.
Is it not true, that at Catholic Mass and protestant services not everyone partakes? so, by itself having observers only is not unusual. What makes wt unique is, that they proscribe baptised and confirmed members from partaking. happens among Catholics only to the excommunicated.
Wt treats the "Other Sheep" like main stream Christianity deals with the excommunicated.
like the question asks: if you could relive any one day of your life, any age, any place and remember everything about it afterwards, would you be willing to live one year shorter at the end of your life?
one day for one year?.
i realize that someone well on in years would think twice about it, but, what about you younger ones?
A good threat. reminds you to try to live each day, so you would give up a year to make sure it was worth your, and the your's while.
jesus gave an illustration with a landowner being the central character:.
“there was a landowner who planted a vineyard.
he put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower.
The parable's situation would be, to some degree, consistent with the picture one could have of a deist's creator, who, being eternal, is already in the eternal future, (the dimension of time) and is observing what might develop in the outworkings of creation, bound by the given laws, as the universe expands through time.
leaving all options open, anything is possible, even a change of hearts.

when you are into your late eighties, someone guaranteeing you another year is great. who knows what great experience awaits you? You might become father again! or become a witness to the next greatest scientific feat !
You already lived that great day in the past, why trade it for the potential of 365, more?

@ Cg: if "Christian" means Anointed, as with spirit, which in those days was done in spectacular fashion, (doves, flames, glossolalia), the disciples at the last supper were not Christians, or anointed.- yet.
using that criteria, it would be wrong to demand that one has to be anointed, or sealed, to be allowed to partake.
for several weeks i've been treating myself to a hot chocolate milk (well, soymilk) before bedtime.
some 16 oz soymilk which i heat on high in our microwave oven.
this is just enough time where the liquid begins to bubble along the top edge.. i then take it out of the microwave and place it on my kitchen gram scale, stir it good enough to redistribute the heat, then reset the scale to zero grams.. next, i squeeze in the hershey's sytup, "special dark mildly sweet chocolate" (fat free) into the warmed soymilk till the scale reads some 30 grams.
and remember, free hot air is always less buoyant than the the cool.

Crazyguy, in the OP, "why144000" chose to uses this wt terminology, and he has been silent since.
when taking apart wt doctrine, it is useful to use their wording, and the bible is full of classifications,
Perhaps "why144000" in a class act , has classified himself to be sealed? our's is not to reason why, but carry on and to die.
i never realised there was such a thing as 'christian agnosticism' until recently.
i've been wondering for a long time where my beliefs where at.
i still believe in god and still believe in jesus but not sure exactly what else.
Of course it is honest to admit that we do not know it all at all. that is being an a-gnostic. A Deist though, believes that there is a Creator, just not an intervening, constantly micro-managing "god".
A Christian Agnostic must accept that there was a talking snake, requiring Christ to die and compensate, not knowing is not the right word for that proposition. or?
