the universe came into being 13.8 billion years ago in the big bang.

after an initial flash, it went through a period known as the cosmic dark ages.

according to a new study, probing cosmic dawn, 250 to 350 million years after the big bang the first stars emerged bringing light to the cosmos.

Hoyle's Big Bang implies an initial acceleration and then a translating of the first energy burst into distance, and they are still fine tuning the rate at that expansion. and it is accelerating, which means more energy being expanded as we go, One alternative theory has the universe acquiring that from the spacetime that the universe expands into. another is of course that matter, stored since the beginning, is converted into energy to fuel & drivel further acceleration.

One feature of the Big Bang follow up in mainstream science, is inflation, an expansion of spacetime faster than even the speed of light.

There are many unexpected transient events in our solar system SB.

It speaks for the robustness of the resonance based harmony/stability here, that it was sturdy enough to allow fragile life to evolve over 4.5 billion years.

all done with energy and the right natural laws.

There is a theory, that universes that BIg banged with different laws, did not last to see life emerge.

My money is on that is was wrought right in the first place.

second thought, if heavy elements were only forget in the normous pressure of stars, supernovae, why was there only hydrogen and some helium after the beginning, if it was such a banging compression?

" but, i've thought up some other terms for the "bb".

how about the big boom....or, the big kaboom....or, the big explosion...the big ignition...or...the big cosmic fartation.

Time only exists when matter exists

tbk: that is a popular concept, pleases the thinker, without him or other matter, nothing matters, to her, time is a byproduct of the hard stuff. For such ones, time is only an

emerging derivative.

matter, of course is made from energy, and that powerful potential for work can not be created or destroyed and needs uncreated time, pre-BB energytime and timespace to exist in.

Matter is a mere newcomer to the cosmos, it needs no pre- Big Bang bounces to be. Try Dirac.

The BB or Big Beginning or the

BETMaCo Big Energy to Matter Conversion. or

SOTTT or BOTTT, start or beginning of Travel through Time. Note, we travel through time, a possible creator is in time, was stationary in the infinite past, and is already waiting for us in the future ( James chapter 1, "there is no variation or rotation of the shadow" , sundial for the deity.

note, you were there. if your energy, matter did not go through the Big Bang, you would not be here. so, if asked, where is the Big Bang, or the new names event located now ? we all are individually , it is the others that spread away from us.

wasted all those years believing a god had created the universe when I now consider the wonders of the universe

Fa 1962: why consider it a waste, it was your life, hopefully well lived. now,

these wonders of the universe have been developing for 13.8 billion years, our planet only since 4.5,, so, just because the bigger machines, higher telescopes show us how delicate and immense the whole thing really is, does not mean that suddenly the possible maker of it all does not exist or matters any more. just because we know now how it works, does not mean it was not work in the first place. yes,

the scientist deserve credit for their discoveries, but more credit / respect is due for the possible one that made it ready to be discovered in the first place. btw,

the term "big bang" was meant to be a joke when is was coined. instead,

do not take the "first light " question lightly.

What was existing 13.9 billion years ago?

WfJc: assuming that there are inviolate universal laws, like the infamous " perfect human life to be sacrificed" applying in all domains, , ( tongue firmly in cheek here) , then

some natural laws reach back in time beyond the BB. ( Penrose, Krauss) example:

Energy is indestructible and can not be created. therefore:

minus 13.9 bys,and counting backward? it was energytime, eternal energy existing in timespace,

now we have "coffeetime, teatime" , Einstein's spacetime.

The Big Bang happened only at a single point in time, but time as a dimension stretches indefinitely in all directions, always has, always will.

How do you decide if you are overusing the divine name or underusing, or using it right?

DW: I would leave that to a personal choice for all. but

As the sanctity of the name is enshrined in the 10 commandments, lets compare it to the crown jewels. reserved for very special occasions, If replicas of them were used by every tom dick and harriette on every street corner, the importance, symbolism would be lost, depreciated, a condition the law mandated against imho.

By never using the name, Jesus created an aura of awe that is the exact opposite of what occurs at wt occasion,

A parallel in my mind is the immensity of the cosmos, the might of the energy locked up in the trillions of stars in the billions galaxies, that can never be expressed by a word like "creator" or "father." for

that energy is not even created. simply put:

Even in the so-called "Lord's prayer"

s: and that was a command. so our prayers should go to the father, ever mindful of the immensity of his person, his might embodied in his name, but not use it. if at all sparingly.

Even a life and death situation, that jesus faced, and was the setting for "the last words" watchtower cited above, did not justify or move Jesus, to invoke it. btw:

at the midweek meeting was cited the text that says; " --nothing can separate us from the love of Christ,--" but it ended up in the cloud of misuse of the sacred term.

sorry, not a reply but a replay:

Studying the wt was never a fun time for many here, but last sunday's opus was a gift from wt writers. a father"s day gift, for June 20th was that holiday here.

The gift was, that the article showed, hidden by wt wordiness, that in his last words, jesus did not use the local name for the possible awesome creator, shaper of all, at all. Using the bible story:

he "fulfilled the law". such as " you must not take the name of your god in vain" Jesus never did, which can not be said for wt and it's followers.
