  another poster (on another board) was certain that the pyramids survived the flood.

  Bc : of course they did. stone does not float, but what not floated was pressed.

  they survived the crushing even the rushing. (rain falling @ 10 meters an hour. )

  water pressure is easy, one of the tens of the Earth, I atmosphere = 10 meter of water. that would be true even on the flat earth that they believed in in palestine in those days. but

  what Jesus said is that "this" generation would not pass away until the worst has occurred. or that it would happen during that generation. and the generation would then pass away.

  And of course "a worldwide flood" really only means a flood of the "populated world" of the land where the bible characters lived...ie a small part of the middle east area...

  well if that is the case, why did the deity not asked Noah to move to higher ground.? Giraffes up Kilimanjaro? Pandas to higher bamboo forests?

  Jesus endorsed the flood story, Jerusalem would have been subjected to 80 tons of pressure psi. per square inch. ouch. he said the GT will be worse.

  Do old time present day active JW`s genuinely believe in overlapping generations ?

  for the life of me i can not come to terms with old timers in the "truth" who could swallow this interpretation of scripture about an overlapping generation .. when jesus spoke about "this generation" .

  are their any real bible students among younger ones any more ?.

  here are 3 bible scriptures that confirm a generation is approximately 40- 50 years long give or take a few years .. 1. matt:1 :17 abraham born 2016-18 bc jesus born 2 bc approx.

  Their current understanding is that the anointed have to receive their final seal before the GT but they don't have to die until just before Armageddon.

  aw, reading Math 24 again, wt is wrong to put so much emphasis on the anointed generation.

  The Great Tribulation will be cut short for flesh, for the chosen ones to be saved.

  The bodies of the anointed, that went to heaven then, will according to wt be disposed off by angels, like Jesus'.

  Their flesh is never in peril ( it is useless like Paul said).

  Armageddon comes to save the planet, the chosen ones. to live in the wt world.

  Wt's anointed are not the generation of 1914, that will pass away after Armageddon.

  The Bible speaks of the "Unforgivable Sin" ? What is it ?

  why is such a statement in the bible if its not identified what that sin is ?.

  were the authors of the book just playing with peoples heads ?

  Rm 123: that explains the mad expression on the faces in the picture of the OP.

  lloyd evans has just tweeted a video he will be releasing soon on the "change" to the meaning of the sheep and goats and when that is to occur.. i've missed any discussion on that on here or anywhere?

  it seems it was part of the 2020 annual meeting the gb had?.

  any info on this?.

  AM: of course, wt prided itself, and we oldtimers (90+) carried that dogma to the doors,trusting that we had the truth**, based on biblical correct doctrines.

  Your claim to be the true religion stands or falls with proving that claim.

  hence our preoccupation with exposing flaws in current wt teachings. to prod wt on their current calamities.

  w. that detail could mean, that the judgement of the sheep and goats based on their actions will not close (like the door of the atk) with the onset of the GT, but continue on. A new twist to the recent "new light" idea here.

  newly twisted up doctrines will most likely occur.

  Rm 123. right. The overlapping groups of the 1914 generation will not need updating until 2075, but it can not remain to be the "anointed " though, because according to wt now, none of the partakers will survive Armageddon, but Jesus said they would, and did survive the end of Jerusalem.

  aw: glad that wt has it down to the fine detail, the better to nail them on false prophecies. be that as it may,

  Jesus twice mentioned in Math 24's "all" that has to occur before the passing of the generation, that like in Noah's day, a disaster greater than the flood has to happen.

  The generation, as happened in the first century is to outlive, survive the end. not pass away, die, be taken to heaven, even if "just before"

  Must be quite a shock to go from being killed by the axe*** to handling those iron rods yourself. How long do you think "just before" is?

  *** note that the bible specifies that to rule [ and smash] with Christ, you will not die morphine sedated in the bethel infirmary, but as a martyred martyr.
