O.K., that over, just something to get other people's opinions about.
There are hundreds of different religions out there, all of which contradict each other in at least one fundamental way. There are also those who don't believe in God at all, and some who don't know what to believe, for whatever reason.
There is also a lot of turmoil, wars and threat of wars (very often due to religious belief or disagreements) .
IMO (only,"IMO" by the way) there is much evidence that the creation and development of the Universe, and therefore Earth, had an intelligence behind it.
So has anybody been able to reconcile a belief that "God" created, and sustains, the Universe with a thought that " why hasn't He sorted us all out before we destroy each other? ".

The figure of 10 to the 60th power to 1 is the chances of DNA forming "by its self"; i.e., get all the bases and atoms, throw them up in the air, so to speak, and see if there is a DNA molecule formed spontaneously. Scientists (yes, real ones) worked out that this would have to be done 10 to the 60th power times to ensure a DNA molecule was formed.
As I said, it doesn't prove / disprove evolution, just that maybe DNA, at least, was "given a helping hand".

Scored 159. Not bad. It does seem to be fairly accurate, as I scored an IQ of 161 with Mensa, but that was about 4-5 years ago and my brain has probably got a bit dead since then, with all the b******t i've had to put up with in recent years!

I think Mindfield just about hits the nail (or nameless one) on the head. Just because we do things that were done in Pagan times, doesn't make them anti-Christian or "bad". Otherwise, everytime we ate, slept or breathed we would be commiting an ungodly act.
There is nothing wrong with celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour.
There is nothing wrong with exchanging gifts at that celebration, Christmass.
There is nothing wrong with making it FUN.
