Good point, RW!
(We WT-apostates sure make it difficult for the WTS to get "new light" from Jehovah first, huh? )

PREDICTION:
by ros inas we see a rising tide of problems confronting the new watchtower leadership, and a tidal wave swelling on the horizon, some interesting rumours are starting to trickle out.
we are waiting to see what the fallout will be following the dateline expose' on pedophilia cover-ups, which will undoubtedly lead to exposing the watchtower's policy to cover up other criminal behavior so as to not "bring reproach on jehovah's name.
" rumour is that the factions at headquarters are becoming increasingly divided.

As we see a rising tide of problems confronting the new Watchtower leadership, and a tidal wave swelling on the horizon, some interesting rumours are starting to trickle out. We are waiting to see what the fallout will be following the DateLine expose' on pedophilia cover-ups, which will undoubtedly lead to exposing the Watchtower's policy to cover up other criminal behavior so as to not "bring reproach on Jehovah's Name." Rumour is that the factions at headquarters are becoming increasingly divided. I make this prediction when the going gets rough in the near future:
The Watchtower faction from the 'old school' will claim to their adherents that it is the foretold persecution, liken it to the 'great tribulation', as a sure sign that Armageddon is 'closer than ever.' Jehovah's Witnesses will be admonished to get out and really sell that literature to find the sheep in the last hours. Like the pre-1975 decade, it could prove to be yet another big money maker.

Fwiw, you all should see proplog2 defending the Watchtower and these characters on H2O. propsicko claims to be a still-associated JW/atheist, but defends the Watchtower Society at length in this matter. A real nut case if you ask me.

SilentLambs:
As you know, I wholly support your stand against the unconscienable shielding by the WTS of Pedophiles. However, in this letter, there are some essential terms that are glaringly conspicuous by their absence:1. No reference to the "Watchtower", "Watchtower Bible & Tract Society", etc.
2. No reference to "Jehovah's Witnesses".
I suggest this letter at best may be from an offshoot, such as the Romanian group or even possibly something like the Free Christians in Jah (something like that), or even possibly the "Two Must Come" movement. I'm not accusing any of them per se, just pointing out possibilities.
I would love to be wrong, but I don't think its from Jehovah's Witnesses. Such a letter of admission would be wholly out of character for them, annointed or otherwise. In the congregations where I have been, the "annointeds" have been essentially indistinguishable from anyone else except on Memorial celebration, and certainly there is no underground in the Watchtower that exclusively represents the annointed for such a claim as this letter makes. Some of the JW pedophiles are even among those to claim to be of the annointed. Certainly the folks who authored this letter may--or may not--be well intentioned, but obviously they are not represented by the Watchtower's lawyers or GB "annointeds". (Imagine Jaracz or Schroeder signing this?)Thanks for posting it, and I don't want to seem negative, but I don't buy that its from Jehovah's Witnesses.

Besides the low-life being convicted, it is also gratifying from the standpoint that Jehovah's Witnesses who see this information will know that Watchtower attorneys defend these creeps. That otta make some of 'em go "Hmmmmm".

Hi, Qwerty:
Excellent on "living water". That is the kind of study I love!
Regarding the scriptures in Revelation 21 of your first post here:
After my admission that I no longer believed the Watchtower, I thought I was probably the only exJW on the face of the earth who believed exJWs could be Christian. For about 10 years, I felt spiritually alone, praying to Jehovah to reveal to those who were kicked out or were like I had been for years--waiting on Jehovah--for things to get corrected.
After about 10 years, I was flicking through TV channels one night and happened upon the John Ankerberg Show which I had never seen before. He happened to be interviewing a panel of exJWs, I believe of the Cetner's group, and they were talking about how they had been Bethelites, and now were Christian. One of the ladies discussed these scriptures you mention in Revelation 21 about "the Alpha and Omega" being Christ.
This was the first I knew of exJWs who maintained that they could be exJW Christians. I was awed! This was also the first I heard of Ray Franz and of his book, Crisis of Conscience. I was excited, couldn't wait to order the book. I contacted Commentary Press directly. But more on topic of this thread, you're right, the Rev. scriptures pointed out by the panelists did make me go "Mmmmmm?" It was the beginning of my investigation which I had not given much thought to before, and that was the deity of Christ in His Kingdom. I agree that there does not seem to be a viable explanation of these texts if one denies the deity of Christ--although, while its not a point of argument, I believe he inherited it from His Father when He received the Kingdom.
John 7:39. But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
The reason I mention this is that it was interesting to me that the scripture you pointed out was the first point I encountered of trinity consideration, and which started my study of the subject. I guess because of that I thought that Rev. was among the first points pondered by most others.

Hello, Explorer:
Welcome. May I commend you for expressing your concerns on this board. You seem genuinely sincere. While it is true that many, who have been severely wronged by having family ties severed by the WT religion's shunning policy, may justifiably feel a great deal of anger, I would say most do not hate Jehovah's Witnesses the people. We may view them as deceived, but not evil. We realize they are following the direction of the Watchtower Society. That does not lessen the pain.
Yes, we are sick of it, but that does not take away the problems. Evidently you are sick of it as well, only you see a different solution. Perhaps you can be a spokesman here for your perspective. "Come, let us reason together." We do not hate all Jehovah's Witnesses. And obviously some, like you, do not hate us.
