If you have not been a member of JW's for a number of years, in your case I understand 5 years, then you may have course of action under UK law. Start with the Charity Commission for England and Wales and lodge a formal complaint against the charity (congregation) in relation to their handling (mishandling) of this. -

Elders' Authority - Flock Book
by berrygerry inthe biggest surprise in the flock book was the hiding-for 3-years serious sin absolution provision for elders (if with "jehovah's evident blessing").. the second is the remark regarding an inactive person, and the situation:.
"is the person willing to meet with a committee, thus admitting accountability to the christian congregation?".
now, the bible says: i want you to know that the head of every man is the christ; in turn the head of a woman is the man; in turn the head of the christ is god.

Compare the above and see how it is applied by a body of elders in the following situation involving child sexual abuse...*** km 10/72 p. 8 Question Box ***
Question Box● What is meant by “some years ago” on page 170, paragraph two, in the “Organization” book?
This indicates more than a year or two. It may be noted that it did not say “many years ago.” So it is not an exact number of years, but more like two or three years. It was not intended to have a brother go back into the distant past to bring up wrongs of which he repented years ago and that have evidently been forgiven by Jehovah and are not being practiced now. In many cases the wrongs occurred prior to the time when the “Watchtower” drew attention to what the Scriptures say on such misconduct.
If a brother has been serving faithfully for some years and has seen evidence of Jehovah’s blessings upon him, why should he now step down from office? If he has the right viewpoint now on conduct and will give good counsel he should be able to continue to serve. If the local body of elders see that he has the respect of the congregation and has shown the proper qualifications over the last two or three years, he may remain in his position of service.
Must wrongdoing be brought to public attention after many years? The book (page 168) under “Public Reproof” quotes 1 Timothy 5:20 and mentions reproof of those who confess to committing more than one offense. But it really has to do with recent events. The “Interlinear” refers to those “sinning,” something going on at the time. So if repentance occurred some years ago, three years ago or more, and sinning ceased, and he is respected by the congregation, it is not necessary now to publicly reprove one who committed more than one offense “some years ago.”

A publishing company turns prophet for profit$$$
by Brokeback Watchtower inwell that's all i can think of right now, know jehovah how?
dah read the book and find out personally maybe knowing jehovah ain't what it is all cracked up to be:.
'know jehovah how' book page 286. what a thrilling moment it will be when, during the coming "great tribulation" on this present system of things, the authentic news comes from all around the earth that the antitypical jerusalem, christendom, has fallen at the hands of jehovah's executional forces!

Protect governing body with your life
by Zoos inthere was a quote in the literature some years back about protecting the governing body from secular authorities and insinuated that we should do whatever it took to insure their safety.. i seem to remember it was something about refusing to help the authorities locate the governing body.
i may be off track here.
if this is familiar to you could you please help me find the quote?.

Not sure about that one. The governing body is more likely to 'volunteer' a member of the congregation to sacrifice themselves to the authorities so as to ensure their own personal safety. -

Huge Shift in Doctrine?
I think you mispelt the topic title. I read the Watchtower references but could not find the letter "f" anywhere.
